Hill 231 is a dutch map. Will there be a placeholder on this map for the dutch armed forces?
Or is someone decrypting it wrong?
Any Updates?

Re: Any Updates?
My family's Dutch, so it'd be kickass to fight for the home team. Just wish my last name didn't translate to "From Groin Wood"

Re: Any Updates?
You're translating it wrong .
"Groin wood" is a bad translation of "Lieshout", which is a place in Holland. Here's what Wikipedia has to say about its origins:
Lieshout is a village and former glory in the Dutch province of North Brabant. The earliest known spelling of Lieshout is Litholz, found in a document from 1146. This name originated from lide = path, walk, path and cavity = forest. The lide was the path that runs along the eastern edge of the dense forest (later Lieshouter Forest) ran as part of a Roman trade route.
Your name in American English is probably written as Vanlieshout? In Dutch it would've been "van Lieshout" (as in, "from Lieshout"). In most cases, this means that one of your ancestors had something to do with the town of Lieshout, like he lived or worked there. People would refer to him as "John from Lieshout" for example.

Re: Any Updates?
Yup. We still spell it "van Lieshout" though. Ancestors came from Lieshout. When I was at college we found out that if you split Lieshout into "Lies hout" it means "groin wood". So now as soon as my old roommate can get his hands on something of mine (normally game related) he changes my name to "XXXXXX from Groin Wood". I really wish I could change my Skyrim name, but it's on my xbox. Too much hassle[R-DEV]AfterDune wrote:Your name in American English is probably written as Vanlieshout? Have you got an idea of what percentage this faction is complete? In the design plan it seems you have pretty much completed everything except the trucks, voices and a few touch ups on weapons and maps.
Sorry to sound pushy its just excitement.
