If your AntiVirus blocked PR:BF2, please list it here
In an effort to get a grasp on which antivirus programs are blocking PRLauncher, we need to get a list of user experiences.
If your AnitVirus blocked PR 1.0, please list it here.
Specifically name the Antivirus product, i.e. if you have Symantec 2012, or Symantec Corporate 2013, those are different products.
Please list your OS, and if 32bit or 64 bit.
If you have a solution to your problem, please explain explicitly what you did, as much as a step by step as you can.
Quote the first reply below and add your info

Click here for BitDefender Fix for PR 1.3 and the core.dll corruption issue

re: If your AntiVirus blocked PR:BF2, please list it here
i found one:
AVG on win 7(probably any windows) just go to Options->Firewall Settings->Applications->Add and select:
1.The location of PRBF2.EXE in the main of BF2 folder.
2.The location of the PRLauncher by opening file location.
3.The location of the PRUpdater by opening file location.
press OK and done!

Re: PR v1.0 launch problem
my AVG was blocking it, the game started normally but in the background AVG prompted a "allow or deny'' screen.
Saw it for the first time now though.
allowed and it worked!
i got AVG version:
2013.0.2904
thats it
Got all extra's like Identity safety, email safety, web safety.
Full package AVG!

the best suggestion is : delete and download the antivirus one more time but do not update... or while playing disable Firewall.

re: If your AntiVirus blocked PR:BF2, please list it here
AVG is blocking PRLauncher and PRUpdater.
To test, completely shutdown AVG and try to contact http://prbf2.cdn.ancientdev.com/hashes_1.0.36.0.prhf again, it should prompt you to download a file hashes_1.0.36.0.prhf . *This file will change name as PR publishes new releases, such as hashes_1.0.37.0.prhf , hashes_1.0.38.1.prhf etc
If with AVG completely shutdown, and you can then download this file, we know it's AVG blocking the PRLauncher and PRUpdater. causing the PRLauncher to return the Error 1301.

Elliminator wrote:Hi i have been experiencing really long load times after PR was working perfectly fine recently. We are talking 20min-30mins to load a map. I feel like i have tried everything.
I have moved the game onto an SSD.
Check the pagefile, made it big to be sure.
Regular BF2 works fine. load the map in literally 10 seconds.
Have tried re-install both bf2 and pr
It has worked today on fools but then when i tried again it didnt.
It seems like it is usually getting caught up at the very start or during textures.
Please help
Psyrus;1993010']The last person also was using an Eset product (NOD32) and it was the 'Scan compressed archives' setting that was causing his problem. Check your settings to make sure that it isn't scanning any zip files

The entire BF2 folder was already in the exclusions list.
I had an issue with ARMA 3 running like complete **** online, and found this solution:
"When I disable ADVANCED MEMORY SCANNER under HIPS, problem goes away.
ESET -> SETUP -> ENTER ADVANCED SETUP -> COMPUTER -> HIPS -> DISABLE ADVANCED MEMORY SCANNER"
That resolved the loading issue with PR and the choppy gameplay online in ARMA 3 that I just bought. It's weird; even on my SSD, PR always took like 3 mins to load in the past, but after changing this one option, it loads in like 30 seconds.
ESET Smart Security 6
Omega47 wrote:Started on the 1.1.4 patch now 1.1.6. Attempted a reinstall now stuck back at 1.1.4 again. The error I am getting is "64: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. 'levels\sbeneh_outskirts\client.zip\terraindata.raw'"
Sometimes the updater just crashes without this error and sometimes the file name changes. I just don't get it. Bit frustrated and have no ideas. Made exceptions in the firewalls, reinstalled, deleted temporary files and even looked in the logs and hardly ever find errors.
Any help appreciated.
