There is 2 ways.

1. init.con your best friend

if v_arg1 == BF2Editor
LevelSettings.CustomTextureSuffix "Woodland"
else
texturemanager.customTextureSuffix "Woodland"
endIf
Please note that every asset which have woodland textures now will be using them. Like soldiers\vehicles\etc.

2. Creating Custom content
According to this tutorial, you need to create\copy woodland texture with custom suffix.

Very nice documentary, great that they finally added subs :D

Does someone know how to change the sun/sky color/brightness? I feel like I got the right color on terrain and statics and also the right sky texture but the sky is too bright, is there some option to change the sky color or is it only changeable by changing the sky texture completely, at the moment I got the Dragon fly sky.

afraid you have to change the texture, directly changing the brightness in photoshop may result in some odd bits from recompressing teh .dds file (which is why textures need to be saved in .psd for editing).

Perhaps try a few different skies, open the BF2 and BF2:SF common folders and add them to your editing folder as there are a few in there that we haven't included, a couple are hidden in map files too in BF2 and indeed in a couple of PR maps

Photoshop, but your best bet is to download and load one that fits.

CGSkies Sky 60

save as a 2048x512 .dds file, place into your level folder, Open your sky.con and change the line "Skydome.skyTexture levels/YOURMAPNAME/What you named your sky.dds as" to point to your new sky.

Pretty much what Rudd said.

Alright thanks guys, that one(sky 60) looks just like the one I need, only without the sun at the bottom, do you think I can open it in photoshop and remove the bottom part and then save it as 2048x512 .dds file?

I guess you could, but you'd also need to include a blended gradient so that it merged seamlessly with teh fog

alright, that sounds too complicated for me, I guess I'll just try to use it like it is to begin with or do you mean I have to include a blended gradient no matter how I do it ?

I downloaded the .jpg free sample, and this is what I got , half sky and half black, should it be like this? and also rabbit is this what do you mean by 2042x512(see pic) ? because I can only change it to 1024x512 or 2042x1021 if it's even the right thing I'm changing.

EDIt: Will it work well with the free samples or do I have to buy it, and should I download the .jpg or HDR sample ?
Download the .jpg, that way you can resize it down, and not up. Also I would look through more of his skies than just that one, it was just the one I Favorited so I could have the website.

yeah I looked at quite a few but I couldn't find any with this level of darkness.

I downloaded the .jpg free sample, and this is what I got , half sky and half black, should it be like this? and also rabbit is this what do you mean by 2042x512(see pic) ? because I can only change it to 1024x512 or 2042x1021 if it's even the right thing I'm changing.
I unchecked [constrain proportions] and I was able to set it to 2042x512 but when I saved it, the Nvidia window popped up and it said I had to multiply the image by 4 or something like that when I pressed save :/

resize the image to 2048x1024 then make a new canvas and make that 2048x512, drag it over to the new canvas, and you will not have the black bottom.

Alright so it took a while to figure out how to drag the picture to the new canvas but I finally managed to do it by pressing the minimize button and then I could see both the picture and the new canvas at the same time. This is what I got after draging the image to the new canvas :/
Edit: nvm the small cut on the top, I accidentally used some kind of tool.

Thanks Rabbit! Best christmas present so far :D I'll have a look at more of them tomorrow and see if I can get it working, for some reason it cut the pic vertically instead of horizontally:/

No problem, all you should have to do is put that .dds into your grozny map folder, then go into the sky.con and change the path for the sky to load.

Yeah it worked :) but there is a line/split where the texture ends(?) but no problem i think you are right anyway about looking at others, this one felt almost like night.

No offense Mrslobodan. But if you really want to get into mapping you need to familiarize yourself with photoshop a bit better haha. Looking good so far. If you ever need help just let us know. We're here for that stuff. There are also multiple ways to blend the edges without having that stitching line btw. However I don't think you're near that point in PS.

Yeah, I noticed that aswell. The problem is I already put all my spare time into building the map so learning photoshop feels like I would have to add another year or two to get the map finished. But I guess I will have to find a way to learn that aswell since as you say it's necessary for mapping, only problem is time and energy to learn all about it, and I guess learning photoshop is nothing you do in a day or even a year:/

Hmm, yeah, when I used the clone tool on the bottom part of it I forgot about that, stupid mistake on my part, wasn't thinking.
