Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
I wasn't talking about the feature, I was talking about the way it sounds. And as I love repeat myself : I personally care about it. I just don't care about the way it sounds.
About the troll part of your post know that I recorded the french grunt, and I recorded something like "anyone help me digging ?" for the shovel, so Im sad people can't use it to ask for help building fobs and stuff.
I wondered why this one didn't come out whereas all the others did when I made some test to check if they sounded good in the game. So as it looked like a bug I posted it where it's supposed to be posted (maybe something you actually should have done with your question looking more like a suggestion polluating the topic than a real question for the devs).

Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
Where did i mention the way it sounds? I simply want to ask if its possible to add a function to turn the sounds on and off. not one word about how i think about the sound itself. I dont remember there was a sound before.
The trolling part was only an answer to your senseless "people starve .. blabla" stuff you wrote, that was unnecassary....
I didnt found another topic that was related and it was only a small question so i put it in here, but turn it into a suggestion felt not right, its more like some kind of feedback.

Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
Not much work has been done on it recently unfortunately, at least not on my end since r/l issues have got in the way in the past couple of months. Also just got a new puppy so time is slightly more limited now but she's settling down well so I'm hoping to get back to work on the statics for the map sooncamo_jnr_jnr wrote:Can we get some more info on sangin? Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
I just want to say THANKS to the DEV team for this latest update. It is really nice to see some of the changes, as well as the touch ups to make the mod more realistic. I had posted a comment that was asking why you guys had not updated in a while and was pissy, thanks again for the work you all put in. One question, why the hell does the UAV cause lag?

Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
Can we ever get the maps that we already have in insurgency game mode at different times of the day? Like Fallujah for example at dusk, night or dawn also for many other insurgency maps i like playing at night or other times of day and can bring a nice game play feel to different maps for insurgency. My older cousin have told me of patrols he has done back in fallujah years ago at night and other times of the day checking for insurgents supplies etc.
Can This be easily implemented?

There was a version of Fallujah called "Raid of Fallujah" that was set at early dawn (I think). Looked awesome btw. Think it was for 0.8~0.85 and only released for a special event.SIDEKILL3R wrote:Can we ever get the maps that we already have in insurgency game mode at different times of the day? To bad the (longer) youtube vids are removed, but here are two short snips from a BigD event in '09:

Ok, do you have a feeling of when it will be done or is it a patient bear thing?'[R-DEV wrote:Rhino;1973433']Not much work has been done on it recently unfortunately, at least not on my end since r/l issues have got in the way in the past couple of months. yes and no, it's easily implemented if the sun's position on each 'sky' texture is very similar. If this is different, i.e. the map is at dawn rather than midday then all the pre-rendered shadows will be wrong. If you want to change the time of day and ambiance etc, it's best to re-lightmap the map; to get all the shadows right. However this is a pretty massive job. Additionally, in different lighting you have to faff about a bit with the surrounding terrain's textures too.SIDEKILL3R wrote:Can we ever get the maps that we already have in insurgency game mode at different times of the day? patient bear thing.camo_jnr_jnr wrote:Ok, do you have a feeling of when it will be done or is it a patient bear thing?
This is also not to mention if you want to have point light (ie, man made lights in buildings etc) then you will also need to re-LM the map which takes for ever.[R-DEV]Rudd wrote:yes and no, it's easily implemented if the sun's position on each 'sky' texture is very similar. Because you can only use factions that have the same voice as the original faction. So US-USMC-CF, MEC-INS, RU-MIL etc.Wayet wrote:i know how to mapping ... im saying on the maps if they can put a layer with IDF forces i didnt meant to say make a new map
