I think introducing an alternative layout to Ia Drang would be pretty cool. In most matches, the fighting is predictably confined to the Cutoff Platoon and the Southern Flank. And the Vietnamese almost always win, in my experience. Maybe we could have an a layout where the US already control most of the jungle and the NVA have to push them back downhill, across the creekbed, and then past the clearing?
There are some nice thickly-wooded areas south of the creekbed, but the fighting never gets there. I think some good alternative layouts (at night would be cool!) can really make Vietnam even better than it already is.
I would like to actually go and create some Vietnam maps of my own, but the BF2 editor is so old and unintuitive... and all the tutorials online are just dead links. None of the knowledge I have with using UE3 and CryEngine 3 is helpful at all.

Night for the sake of night is bad, it doesn't work so well on most maps it has be included with.Nightingale wrote:

lol no............... how would you play as insurgent ?Dr_Death wrote:Unless (if the BF2SF **** is incluided) we can add NVGs. Most armies in the world already have them anyway, and it would be nice to make an insurgency battle on the night, while the coalition has armor, optics, night vision, and stuff.
I think that it would be interesting to battle as an insurgent
