There is also a bear that pops up in some forest maps, briefly. This is a very rare occurrence. Some people say it's Yeti.

There will be 99 players on the British team manning it. The single player on the Argentinian team flies a Super Etendard armed with an Exocet. Best map ever.LiamNL wrote:How many people will it take to man that frigate, will it come in 1.3, and someone tell me if the Argentinian navy gets a naval asset as well. We are currently looking at somewhere between 4 and 5 players but we ideally want to be as few players as possible to have as little impact on the amount of boots on the front lineLiamNL wrote:How many people will it take to man that frigate, will it come in 1.3, and someone tell me if the Argentinian navy gets a naval asset as well. As for the Argies, they may get a little something

2/3 questions answered, now I just have to wait for the update to come to find out what kind of toys we are getting our hands on.

Was the Humvee fitting perfectly fitting inside the foxhole done on purpose or was that a complete coincidence?

No. But we got other fixes for the Kaaskops. You will also get them on dovre and hades peak is fixed so i think they will get a lot of screen time.LiamNL wrote:Aw , will the CV 90 APC/IFV be implemented for the Dutch forces in the next patch then?
I think it is coincidence. The uparmored one doesnt fit that well either.Darman1138 wrote:Was the Humvee fitting perfectly fitting inside the foxhole done on purpose or was that a complete coincidence?

So the Russians really fight the Dutch a lot then... or will it be an alternate layer with the Germans being standard? Also usually the lack of heavier APCs on the Dutch side is compensated by CAS, but on Dovre there will be hardly any space for a CAS chopper, how will this be balanced?

Well, the F35 can take off vertically, cant it?LiamNL wrote:So the Russians really fight the Dutch a lot then... or will it be an alternate layer with the Germans being standard? Not to mention the F-35B can't take off vertically (in r/l) with a full payload of weapons and fuel

Also there is no airfield on Dovre (at the moment), you can't tell me you are putting a VTOL jet on a helipad at the German base.

Well first of all I'm pretty sure Mats was just joking aroundLiamNL wrote:Also there is no airfield on Dovre (at the moment), you can't tell me you are putting a VTOL jet on a helipad at the German base.
Secondly as I said above, the F-35B isn't even a VTOL jet in r/l, its a STOVL jet and as such, it would require a small runway at the very least to be realistically operational in a combat scenario. Yes the F-35B can take off vertically but only with no weapons and a small amount of fuel, like the Harrier, which means it can't perform the maneuver if its going to travel any distance or carry any weapons into a combat situation and why the only time I'm aware of it being used in a war zone, was when two Sea Harriers during the Falklands war which where forced to land on an Assault Ship due to the runway being disabled by a Chinook blowing over the metal panels that made up the runway and their only option was to land on an Assault Ship near by since they had no fuel to land anywhere else, then once the runway was repaired take off vertically from the ships and head back to FOB San Carlos:
More on this here near the end: http://www.thinkdefence.co.uk/2012/04/h ... d-islands/
And no, there is no plans of putting a F-35B on the map, as first the Dutch use (or are going to use in the near future should I say) the F-35A which is the CTOL version which requires a full length runway and as Jacksonez said, its a 2km map which is really too small for jets although exceptions can be made here and there, mainly where only one side has a CAS aircraft, and generally a slow one like on The Battle of Ia Drang which has the A-1H Skyraider and is only a 2km map.
