PR2 was pretty much dead before Squad came along, that was just the final nail in the coffin for it and Squad came about due to the mismanagement of PR2, as well as it not sticking to its roots other than with its name.tankninja1 wrote:Is PR 2 still a thing or was that killed by Squad?

Pretty much the single biggest reason, on top of what Rhino said was the lack of documentation for the CryEngine which made creating a game harder than it should.[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:PR2 was pretty much dead before Squad came along, that was just the final nail in the coffin for it and Squad came about due to the mismanagement of PR2, as well as it not sticking to its roots other than with its name.
Unreal Engine 4 is easier since it has plenty of documentations on how to do things, it's organized and not complicated, it's geared towards everyone from beginner to advanced and it has available updates including support for free (With additional features + more support with a paid subscription like all game engines)
Also lots of people online know it, and it's pretty common for Indie Game Devs to use on top of Unity.
CryEngine doesn't have support and updates for it's free version only and it's geared towards people experienced with making games, like game developers. Both powerful engines, and have their own advantages and disadvantages (Which is not important as a developer can do better things with the tools in his/her hand) but UE4 is the clear winner.
Although CryEngine has documentation, you can see a lot of complaints of it's inaccurate documentation and it being non-clear which could have changed, though the past is in the past.

I would like to know why some veteran PR players get invites to the Closed Squad Alpha and others dont? What do you have to do to get one?

People who get invites seem to have been past content creators/donors/supporters.Ron-Schultz wrote:I would like to know why some veteran PR players get invites to the Closed Squad Alpha and others dont? What do you have to do to get one?

You would have to ask the Squad guys but it was probably just a random pick of players, possibly based on the first people who joined their forum? But again, you would have to ask the Squad team as I'm only guessing here.Ron-Schultz wrote:I would like to know why some veteran PR players get invites to the Closed Squad Alpha and others dont? Is this still in work?
assetruler69: I've seen things you smurfs wouldn't believe. Apaches on the Kashan. I watched burned down tank hulls after the launch of the single TOW. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to give up and respawn.

Can we have some EoTechs back of the US factions or some regular iron sights?
Also the m68 seems a little too blue colored.
