Shilka is on Sbeneh Outskirts alternative (or standard) map layout. Doesn't come with AA missiles though, only HEIT munition.

Thornehaw: If all this have been evidently true, Battlefield is a much scarier and dirtier than ever imagined. Not a conspiracy, but a possibility. If it is true, then trusting another is quite worrisome.

I envy you Rhino. Picking cherries in the idyllic English countryside and coding for PR (assumption based on fragmentary information). Right now I'm stuck on the bullet train for 1.5 hours for my daily commute.

My first question: Is there a code for some ammo types that can let the crew members bleed?

If I recall correctly it happened sometimes that taking a HE hit in a MBT would make me bleed as a crew member.

My second one: Why can't LAVs have passengers and if its a RL based thing, why is it still considered as an APC?

An Finally: I already started modeling in newer versions of 3ds max an I discovered that 3ds max 9 didn't have the graphite modeling tools which I use a lot. Does anyone with experience have any advice/tutorials for max 9?

The LAV-25 has capacity for 4 Passengers and we class it as Scout Vehicle, just its got the "_apc_" in its code name so it costs 5 tickets when destroyed.

I know i'm going to make some people butthurt but i don't expect much of Squad to be the the next Project Reality, you guys have create an unique gameplay that cannot be export, the failed project of ArmA II Pr prove it.

Did you have the same thought that Squad can be a Project Reality killer ?

I'm not going to answer this as PR DEV and this thread are for questions related to PR only, but here it goes...

If SQUAD is going to be the next Project Reality or not it's something that is defined per individual. The way people conceive what a next gen PR will be and what parameters they hold as the most important, might differ for another person and so on. The SQUAD devs were obviously inspired by PR and are trying to emulate the gameplay in a way. But I'm not counting on it to be the exact same thing. It's perfectly normal that any team will have a different say on a few elements and how to best execute their concept in a new engine. And I'm pretty sure they will do a fine job on that.

Even if for some reason it fails to convince some people in this regard, the only certainty is that it will be the closest thing to PR in a new engine. I think that's enough reason to give it a shot and see their work completed before claiming that it's a failure.

I'm actually looking forward for this. I feel like Squad is not going to replicate the arguably, publicly unpopular; but amazing PR ways. I feel like Squad will be a game more designed for the general mainstream populous which of course, results in more money being made.

Things like iron sight zoom in Squad really annoy the heck out of me - and I am sure, annoy the heck out of a lot of people too. Without the zoom, longer firefights take place and suppressive fire is encouraged making for less twitch shooter like gameplay.

I just hope they will support mods, because this - and much more, would be fixed.

Anyway back to the topic.

Guys, Squad is in pre-alpha. You should've seen or played PR back in 0.3, then compare it with 1.2, lol :p

0.3 was better than 1.2 in every single way. Devs pls fix.

I always felt that 0.7 and 0.75 were better than any latter version. It was like this raw and unpolished mod that was almost a game on it's own, but was so balanced and genuinely fun to play and the people were better and friendlier back then, shout out to B2Z-Makiaveli, he was a great guy, probably long since his last PR round. Although on theory PR is a much better game now i just can't find the same spirit we used to have those days... Maybe i'm getting old and sentimental i don't know...
