Tag: Some German Dude (I forgot his name)

Nationality: German

Kit: Officer

Good Conduct: He was very patient with me and the rest of the FNG's on Muttrah, using the map markers to very good effect, and even cracked a few jokes when I (as medic) was blown up by a friendly who planted C4 on the bunker I was operating in.

We won anyway.

I think its a bit of a shame that this thread has fallen into disuse. As we all know a good Squad Leader can make or break a round, and I think it is admirable to celebrate those that give us experiences to remember.

Looking back at that first post I remember some of my very first hours of PR were squading up with Joe_Pineapples and OneArmWally. Perhaps I would not be playing PR still now if it wasn't for those guys and their stellar SLing :)

When I started learning how to squad lead myself I would look for the likes of Rudd_Medicman, Sadist_Cain, gazzthompson and Jigsaw (in my humble estimation the best PR squad leader I have ever played with) and try to see what it was that made them a cut above the rest.

With the influx of new PR players I am sure we will have many new squad leaders, and it is my hope that some of those names will make it onto that list in the OP and be celebrated alongside all the old (and current) greats.

Player name: Acemantura

Player nationality (optional): French?

Kit/vehicle: Officer

Map and side: Ghost Train as PLA

Act of heroism/good conduct: I want to praise and recommend Acemantura for being the great guy he is. We played on Ghost Train just a minute ago for about ten minutes before I crashed and couldn't be bothered to rejoin, however I've played with Acemantura many a time in the past and the combination of silly camaraderie and competent leadership is lovely, so consider this a cautionary tale--join Acemantura's squad, and you just may have a blast.

Player name: Deckelsmouk

Player nationality : Luxembourg, or Germany as i would call it.

Kit/vehicle: Officer/ APC driver

Map and side: hundreds of battles the last 6 months

Act of heroism/good conduct: As the sworn leader of MechInfDrama squad, Deckelsmouk have proven himself to be a top level Squadleader (one of the best out there). I remember meeting him last fall and we got together with a bunch of randoms, ended up with being the best rounds i have ever had i PR, Blasting Music over mumble while fucking shit up as a MechInf squad. His Tactics guarantee success and we get top squad 95% of the times we play as a squad. Deckelsmouk is a fun person and very patient with his squadmember, he also flips BTRs like a pro.

I think the frequency that this thread is used these days is a strong indicator of what PR has become...

Posts which were written in 2015 are only on the bottom of the previous page.
