So what could we possibly expect from 1.4 or even the 1.3x? Will Falklands be in 1.4? What about PR|WW2?

PR:Falklands is the main feature for v1.4, along with others naturally but we are currently working on a v1.3.5 release with a few new features and gameplay fixes/improvements in the mean time :)

Good Morning,

With the understanding that I have only read a fraction of all 145 pages of this thread, I was wondering if anyone has asked about including the Russian V-12 and the Marine CH-53e?

I still long for the days of BF Vietnam where heli's could pick up jeeps and such. Also, do the game mechanics only allow for 2 crates maximum? I was thinking that the Osprey or the two helis mentioned above could carry more if the mechanics allowed.

if those models were available to us we would definitely look into them. But as with all suggestions, not atm.

The mil V-12 was a prototype, there are a grand total of 2 in the world and they are both on display and out of action. As for the ch-53e, yes it'd be cool cos it looks awesome but there isn't a real need for it in pr given there's already a mv-22b that performs the "heavy lift" role within pr.

The CH-53 might also be cool for the german forces (CH-53G / GS / GA) . I think the Allied Intent guys had a model but it's possibly not up to PR standards.

What would be more interesting for the Bundeswehr imo would be the GTK Boxer (dutchies have them already but in a slightly different configuration iirc) and the Wiesel AWC (unfortunately nobody ever worked on it as far as I know).

Is there any scope or will to expand and develop PRSpy? Perhaps integrate the friends list with your game and forum profile?

Been using it a lot lately and whilst functional it'd be nice to have it more functional.

I personally don't think a mod like PR can handle something like this in it's true for for it to be realistic and good for gameplay. The jet and helicopters system is already (nothing the devs can do about it) pretty much bullshit to the 10th degree even before the AA fixes. The view distance needed in PR to make this worth it would make clients explode. It's a shame, but I don't think it's ever going to happen in BF2, maybe UE4 once Squad is very developed.

Good Morning,

Well, the BF1942 Desert Combat mod was able to handle the AC130 gunship with ease. I mean heck, having a B52 would be nice as well for carpet bombing. I would think the same mechanics used to make the B17 possible in the BF1942 DC mod would also possibly work in PR but then again, I might be totally off base as they may be different engines. I'm not up to speed on all the gaming engines out there.

Project Reality is and always will be an arcade game with pretensions of realism. Understanding and building with that limitation in mind can bring realistic tactics even with unrealistic mechanics. Trying increasingly hard to strangle unrealistic mechanics just creates more loopholes.

An AC-130 could be made to work. I doubt we'll see one though, models and textures make an asset only used for one map (and would definitely require some heft balance work) kind of unlikely.

I said "a lot more". I never implied pr is a simulation. I disagree an ac-130 could be made to work, not on 4k maps at least imo.
