Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
How's PR2 going? Long time player who is just getting back into 1.3 and am interested in the future. Are you going to get this on Steam since it's standalone now then eventually just make it PR2?
I remember reading somewhere you wanted PR2 to be a free game, but I personally can't justify just taking it for free on release and will donate at least $100 for it due to my time with BF2 R.

I got a question! How much space does PR take up for modding?
My folder for all the unpacked stuff for PR,wip, testing and original files are around 260gb.

Why does the insurgent RPG kit get a rock? Is that just for laughs?

If you hold right mouse button it will sharpen it into a shape charge, to be used in conjunction with an IEDfatalsushi83 wrote:Why does the insurgent RPG kit get a rock? Is that just for laughs?

I guess it was your "sidearm" until RPG-7 kits were given TT-33. Maybe devs forgot to delete it. Though civies could get the rock back.fatalsushi83 wrote:Why does the insurgent RPG kit get a rock? Is that just for laughs?

Yeah, would be nice is civies got the rocks again. I saw a documentary about Gaza and civilians were launching rocks at IDF troops with slings. Were the rocks removed to make it more difficult for civies to troll? Still odd how the RPG kit get them. Take your pick...RPG, TT-33, or rock

Fun Fact: The developers who made the Desert Combat mod, Trauma Studios were bought by EA/DICE to collaborate to help create Battlefield 2 until they were shutdown on June 7, 2005.DesmoLocke wrote:I've always felt DC Urban Siege felt more like Muttrah on a pure urban area perspective.

^ I thought that was well known? They later became Kaos Studios under THQ and made the Homefront games. I think their collaboration with DICE in BF2 was their greatest success though.

More fun facts. I listened to a speech/seminar thing with DICE years ago back when BF2 was new, and he said that the DC devs were basically brought in to create a BF2 prototype in the 1942 engine. He showed screenshots of a modified DC with working fastropes and commander assets.
