Majority of NEW server regulars dislike INS and admins obviously try to please their wishes. Nevertheless they still put a reasonable amount of INS into the mapvotes to satisfy the rest. But yeah most players on NEW are very AAS-centered, me including. You will have to expect that when joining the server.

I think overall EU is just very AAS based. Which is lovely ;) .

Very bad admin decisions this weekend. Asked for Black Gold AAS several times, no reaction, just ignoring, and map never showed up on Saturday night, not even in a vote... Very very sad, NEW.

Black Gold, one of the best AAS maps, if not THE best one.


Also would really like to see a Vietnam maps only event on a saturday evening, with sign-ups for commanders, squad leaders/members, and some good The Kinks Battlefield Vietnam music... :)


Overall this Saturday evening, very funny, how 3dAC members just join your squad and u can simply laugh ur *** off together with them driving together with Gary+bombcar on Kokan Ins... xD rofl Mulin...

I'm not going to apologize for your (Daniels) annoying behaviour on our server. While we appreciate serious map suggestion there is no guarantee we will listen to them. In fact, since you're not the only one suggesting maps we simply can not listen to everyone and please everyone.

However, I don't see how your personal map choice is correlated to our admins performance.

Nevertheless, I also realized that we definitely overplay some maps and some map choices might not be ideal. Please keep in mind that with changing admin teams during an evening it's sometimes difficult to keep track of the already played maps and provide a well mixed map pool.
Regarding Insurgency. Yes, we know that not everybody likes it. But we at NEW think it's a vital part of the PR gameplay experience and we will continue playing Insurgency. Our administrators are adviced to provide a decent Ins?AAS balance but we only have guidelines and no fixed rules.

In the end, I think this game is much more about the players and teamplay than the individual choice of the map. It makes me sad when I see people ragequitting because we put Yamalia and end up having one of the best PR matches recently.

I have no problem with 4km maps as long they are not Kashan like... Its nice to have emphasis on vehicles, but for inf they are no-mans-land.

Anyway, great server, lots of great rounds played there.

I am still traumatized from the PRT. 2h of sitting in the bathroom in bunkers. 2h of doing nothing. 1m of getting rushed from 3 directions. No fun. NO fun. My ptsd is kicking in. >.< Lets not play kashan. :(

I'm sorry but how on earth is Lashkar Valley an asset map? Yes, there's IFVs and helicopters but overall I think it's a map with strong focus on infantry squads.

As for Kashan, I think it's one of those old maps that need to be thrown out the map pool (and while we're at it, Jabal isn't great either quality-wise when compared to most other maps). It was fun a back in the days but nowadays it's usually a 2 hour infantry stalemate at the bunkers and tanks hunting each other outside.

Getting in conflict with your no-baserape rule more and more. I think the current one is too restrictive:
4.3.1 Attacking or getting in the radius of the last capable flag of the AAS order is allowed only, if the AAS status of the flag is marked as active.

4.3.2 This excludes fighting against active threats which are currently positioned in that area.
( Manned AA / AT / Mortar positions, AA/AT Infantry or heavy assets such as Tanks, APCs, ect)
A Firebase is not a threat!
Under this rule MEC is not allowed to go to Muttrah docks to disable FOBs and RPs. On Kashan USA would not be allowed to camp around North Outpost. And lastly an "active threat" seems to only stuff that shoots out. This means they are allowed to build mortars and you have to wait for them too shoot once at least. A spotter probably also isnt considered an "active threat".
My idea for such a rule would be something more like:
"Attacking mapper placed vehicle- or player-spawnpoints is forbidden."

the rule is currently being discussed internally
by your definition, aa camping at (or around - to the south) north outpost would be allowed, so to really make it foolproof, youd need some really proper definitions. another option would be letting admins decide from case to case but its only a small line to being accused of admin abuse as different admins with different tempers would react differently.
its hard to satisfy anybodys wishes, theres people who think the above aa camping would be ok and then theres people whod consider attacking or even mining the main supply line a "baserape".

so please be patient until a (hopefully) satisfying for everbody solution is reached.

i (for myself, not speaking as new ;) ) would appreciate suggestions from the community, such as yours.

As always, PR-voodoo just sometimes likes to crash. As we are not changing stuff on the server since forever, the same server can run weeks super stable and then crash 2 times per day.

I will send a crate of club-mate (or another pop) to whoever finds out how to please the PR-gods and fix this once and for all. :mrgreen:

On the other point, I personally think that excluding the last flag (when not active) highly adds to proper public gameplay where not everytime everyone of the same skillevel runs around on the server. Be aware though that you are not the only one complaining about it and, as gaml said, we are discussing this.

Didn't have a great time tonight, 2 steamrolls, one team 50-70% clans, other side 60-70% pubs Spoke up about it but go no response.

Hey Fizzco, thank you for your Feedback.

Generally we work hard to keep both teams balanced but sometimes its just Voodoo to get the balance right.

In my opinion there are too many factors taking influence for a good balance. But like i said the entire Adminteam is adviced to give balance high priority.

Just in Case Admins not replying on reports always feel free to join us on Teamspeak.

You guys SERIOUSLY need to seed your server. I am really tired of all cancer that is PR servers. NEW used to be up every night. Now? Like, maybe every thursday?
