I guess I'm a bit frustrated after a misadventure trying to navigate terrain with a Logi this evening, don't mind me... :d uh:

From the winks that I've seen on the forums here, I get a sense that Assault on Grozny is going to make it into the 1.4 release... hang on to your hat Liam!

Let's see how the DEVs clarify it, but I believe it all comes down mostly to debugging, which of course takes a lot of time and a lot of players pouring over a given map to find all the glitches.

Proper balance and gameplay are significant factors as well, so sometimes the maps will need to be reworked a bit, spawn points changed, and so on.

I remember a map-pack having you on an island where as soon as you spawned you were bleeding tickets, and if I recall correctly, I don't think the bleed stopped until such time as you'd capped two flags on the island. In a tournament game, this would probably not be that big a deal, but on a pub server where you're on a team that can't tie its combat boots, well that kind of map scenario is mighty demoralizing. I believe things like that need to be addressed before a map is released.

If I'm not mistaken, Assault on Grozny might have had lag issues initially for people with slightly lower spec'd video cards or computers, but I believe Ason dealt with all that (I never noticed any issues of the sort, but I think that this problem was mentioned in the map thread).

But on the whole, I love those map-pack events, and try to spend as much time as possible on the new maps when they come out.

Borovsko Bridge, Adak (though a lot of ppl seemed to complain about the initial 3 cappable flags), Bamyan (irritating bleed here too if I'm not mistaken), Temelin (maybe too many spawn points, but beautiful city fighting... greatly under-appreciated map!), and Masirah are all great maps that deserve more play to iron out any issues (did I mention BEAUTIFUL maps?).

It's really sad to see so few servers taking on hosting these and other community maps... it's really worrisome that some of the map makers might get discouraged or lose interest (Heaven forbid!).

These maps deserve more exposure to, hopefully, motivate the map developers. They are a great resource that must not be overlooked.

Will the issue of the BMP causing crashes on co-op maps be fixed in the next release?

If the last patch was mainly a bug fixing/gameplay improvement patch what is the next one going to be like?

What kind of content can we expect to accompany the fixes in the next patch? I would expect the Fuchs and some of the other dev updates, but anything else? (Also will Germans get Fennek in the next couple of patches?)

hey guys wazzup !

now my question this time is about Recon/Sniper/Scout squad

i order to get the sniper and spotter kit you need 3 player in the squad !

why is that ? i mean IRL snipers usually work as pairs or sometimes solo as i heard or seen it on TV !

i like to scout and give info to my team in some maps thats why i like the role of the spotter !

when i make a Recon squad i usually have a Friend with me on TS if im playing alone i'll join infy or other squad so i can be more usefull to the team and enjoy the game !

so is there a chance that to request the sniper kit be 2 squad members !?

since the update is near to be released i would love to this change added !

Regards. :D
