I just did a fresh re-install of win7 on my computer. Whenever I start up PR, it says it cannot find "d3dx9_25.dll" which I assume is related to directX 9.
I can only find the winXP installer on Microsoft's website. All of the links that point to the installer for win7 just get redirected instead to a page offering upgrades to win10.
Anyone know how to get directX 9 on a win7 machine in the year 2016? I feel like I am missing something really obvious here...
Where can I download the installer for directX 9?

Re: Where can I download the installer for directX 9?
Thanks for the link.
That was what I was looking for, but I guess it wasn't actually the solution because I am still getting the same error.
I actually tried fixing this once by taking d3dx9_25.dll, d3dx9_24.dll, and d3dx.dll from a BF2 ENB folder leftover from my old installation (and slapped them into the /Program Files (x86)/Project Reality/Project Reality BF2/ folder), which allowed me to load into the server browser, but as soon as I connected to a server the game always crashes to desktop, so I thought it would be best to just install DirectX 9 the normal way...
edit: I'll ctrl-v my computer info tomorrow when I wake up.
