Post by ElshanF »

Hi Folks

Bought a gaming laptop back in December primarily for the of the CAD (works great for it) but whenever I play PR it lags very bad on low graphic settings. Yet it runs BF3&WOT on medium to high flawlessly

Should these specs be fine for PR?

It should be able to do PR beautifully, I suspect that like many laptop users it is not using the good Nvidia discreet graphics card, but using the power economic integrated intel like this guy.

In the launcher go to support then copy to clipboard return here and paste your specs that will say which GPU is being used.

Go to the Nvidia control panel, manage 3D settings, programme settings and select NVIDIA with PR or/and BF 2 maybe this could be tricky where PR is started from a launcher.

Make sure you aren't using any lowercase features.

See the thread links in the above post for a picture.

Make sure it's not in battery saving mode in the Power options of the laptop. Many of my friends have that all the time when playing CSGO on their laptops :D

Nope its in high performance. Really it makes no sense how BF3 and WOT run flawlessly whereas PR won't even barely work. :'(

Perhaps be willing to that screen control thing to see what I'm doing wrong? <3

In win10 there's more deeper power options, I have git the impression that multi gpu laptops have an issue seeing OR as an app that needs full power, I think it may be because they don't see the launcher as an app type needing full power.

This is just a theory.
