Plays.tv /Raptr not recording PR gameplay

Post by gerardusnl0 »

so i recenly installed plays tv/ raptr, which is the amd version of shadowplay.
it works great in every single game except PR, it works up till the point where textures are loaded then it stops recording. and i cant manually start it back up, because the program just doesn't recognize PRBF2.exe as a game ( however the launcher is? )
does anybody have a fix for this?

Apparently this is the solution.

Tell us if it worked.

I'm trying to get the Gaming Evolved Recorder to work too, right now it only records a black screen and audio. I couldn't get the video posted to work, as I can't even manually add Project reality, its not under the list of games. Let me know if a solution is found...

I dont use it, but BF2 is on the list and this is official tutorial how to add custom game, or in this case modified bf2.exe

You must have at least Radeon HD77xx or GTX600 series cards for this to work.
Hardware Encoding
For achieving Hardware Encoding in the clients, we require the following hardware to be present:
A quad core CPU or equivalent
2 GB RAM
A 5400 RPM SATA internal Hard Drive.
A GPU that supports DirectX 11 or 12. (if you need to find out your DirectX version, refer to this Solutions article Here.)
A compatible Video Card (with the latest drivers installed):

If your video card is made by AMD, it must feature AMD’s Video Coding Engine (VCE).
VCE is included in AMD’s Radeon HD 7700 series and newer. (Some laptop-class HD 7000 series might not be compatible)

If you’re not sure if your AMD card has VCE, refer to this article.

If your video card is made by Nvidia, it must feature NVIDIA’s Video Encoder (NVENC). NVENC is included in NVIDIA GeForce GTX 600 series and newer. (Some laptop-class GT 600 series might not be compatible)

If you’re not sure if your Nvidia card has NVENC, refer to this article.

If you have an Intel CPU, it can encode with Intel Quick Sync (Intel HD Graphics 4000 and newer)

The problem is that prbf2 is not under in the list of games rapr has. BF2 is, but if you try to add the exe through raptor, it will only accept an .exe name bf2.exe exactly, not any random .exe like prbf2.exe for example.

There was a modification where you can change this by editing a file that raptr uses to look for .exes, but when I added prbf2.exe it still records a black screen with audio though.

It's weird because I think its a project reality issue. Like theres a black screen over application. I tried taking a print screen screenshot and I got a black screen too...
