PRTA Presents:One-Life Event - Sbeneh Chase | June 5th 1800PRT
Server: PRTA | EU - OneLife Event | June 5th Server Password: alamo Date/Time: June 5th, 18:00PRT
As the fighting in Set Zaynab is slowly stabilising and favouring the Middle Eastern Coalition forces, the Syrian rebels have retreated to the town of Al Sbeneh. MEC intelligence says that a possible outpost is located in the area south-east of the town, and that the rebels are most likely using the routes to transport their vehicles and forces back to Sbeneh.
MEC I Strike Corps HQ have assigned a platoon of infantry personnel from 17th ID to recon and eliminate the threat in the area. Depending on the availability and situation, armour from 11th IAB is at hand. 6th ID is starting a frontal assault about two hours from the 17th ID deployment and could be flanked if the Sbeneh outskirts aren't cleared.
Syrian rebels are most likely stronger in infantry numbers and are in possession of AT equipment and vehicles, which are passing or being stationed in the area during their retreat phase to Al Sbeneh. Heavy armour, such as tanks are not out of the question, however such vehicles are known to be mainly using the direct route from Set Zaynab to Sbeneh and therefore bypassing the area.
Fight in the upcoming One-Life event and be a part of one the most thrilling rounds of PR you have ever played! Every decision you make on the battlefield might be your last, as there is no forgiveness with the no-respawn policy. Work closely with your squadmates, keep them alive and listen to every order your squad leader gives you, take your squad on an epic and immersive path to victory as a squad leader or even command the battle if you can take the pressure. Tactical movement, situational awareness, suppression, retreating and many other skills are vital to the well being of your squad and team. Remember, the lives of others depend on your actions!
One-Life or permadeath events are created to bring you the ultimate emotional experience PR has to offer. Although the events have a slightly altered game mechanics, the core gameplay stays exactly the same, however competitiveness and continuous action take the back seat to the incredible adrenaline rush of having just one shot at the mission and planning every move with utmost care. Rules
Once you give up, or the revive timer hits zero and you are forced to respawn (you get 1 on the death count), you are not eligible to play any more and will be removed from the server if you will not leave by yourself in a timely manner, especially if the server is full.
There is no other rules (except standard PRTA Server Rules), so the outcome is completely in the hands of leaders and individuals.
Additional tweaks
Round timer set to 2 hours, 30 minutes. If any side doesn't win outright by that time, tickets will be the judge, resulting in a "Minor Victory" for the winning side, as opposed to "Complete Victory", if all the flags are captured.
Respawn time extended beyond round end. There will no way to spawn after you die.
Start timer is increased to 8 minutes. This gives more time for the teams to prepare the strategy and roles.
Wounded time is increased to 15 minutes. Triple the time from vanilla 5 minute settings better represent a soldier in an average wounded state, and give your medic more time to treat you.
Revive time is increased to 6 minutes. Triple the time from vanilla 2 minute setting, it forces any recently revived soldier to seek cover and recuperate from the injuries for a longer time. If you get shot in this timeframe, you will be killed completely.
UAV removed for MEC. As this is a story driven mission, and the fighting in the area is not a full on attack, MEC will not have the luxury of UAV systems.
Wow, looks promising! If I could I would have joined. Could luck, sounds very interesting and hope it will be a succes which will make this event be more frequently.
Can turn out pretty boring as well if people dont dare the charge (aka Xiangshiang during C10)

I had to go halfway that round, in the end I was happy since the only thing we had done was sit on a hill shooting at empty bushes every 5 minutes or so.
assetruler69: I've seen things you smurfs wouldn't believe. Apaches on the Kashan. I watched burned down tank hulls after the launch of the single TOW. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
