That would be fun detail but i must spare lot of texture sheet space as possible. Than means that i make all 4 tires with same texture.driver-ch-driver wrote:Other than that, great work! Could we have green and black wheels for that 'in-theatre' look please?

Re: [Vehicle] Land Rover Defender [WIP](FDF,GB)
Some adjustment have been made for the model. The front window is little wider. Making the middle of the car wider is big job and require whole new chassis plus it needs more tris. I try to make this as low tris as possible and the same time very detailed.

Thank you for the feedback!
Now its time for textures. I need LOT of pictures of the vehicle. If someone has pictures of the vehicle, send them in PM. Thank you!

This is the snatch landrover isn't it? The front windscreens still look too small imo.

Yes it is. It goes for GB.
Now that you mentioned, they are not small.. they look a bit thin. Not so much difference tough.

Yeah too thin, in the irl pic you can see the edge of the windscreen frame goes right to the edge and they almost touch in the middle.

Re: [Vehicle] Land Rover Defender [WIP](FDF,GB)
Fixing this minor detail on the model means delaying it a LOT. Whole area has to be deleted and made from scratch. The UV: s are made and they will change too. That means that texture work what has been done already will be lost because if i make the windscreen area again, it will be wider and take more texture space. So i have to arrange UV sheet again. I have UV:s pretty tight atm and i reallyreallyreally dont want to do that again for minor changes like this. I know my schedule after my vacation (what ends this week ) and it will be pretty tight.

ok well from going from what version I have, try organizing the small pieces first before moving the large bits, cause alot of them dont need alot of detail

You could just scale up the windows and move them to fit on the front if they're not attached to the main body. Won't have to edit the UV then or change anything at all.

The windows are not problem actually, its the chassis. The windows are "inside" the front of the car as you can see in the picture. Editing windows means that the chassis has to be changed as well. That means changing chassis and UV: s. And now that we have the car almost done with the textures, i dont see much point to make this minor change for the car. Ofcourse if DEVS demand that i make that window part again, then i do it. But for now, i dont see point in it.

Pardon my ignorance, but I fail to see why the chassis needs editing if the only thing that needs changing is the size of the windows relative to the chassis. Could you elaborate please?Kovanaama wrote:

If you wide the windows, they will get inside the chassis. That`s the reason why chassis has to be modified too. It is quite easy to fix it but it mess everything inside the vehicle. So in order to do it properly, i have to delete the whole front window area and make it again.

I can't imagine that, can you show the texture marked with this part or at least UV? It should be rather easy fix.
