Check system resolution and refresh matches set game resolution. Go to Documents/ProjectReality/profiles/0001/video.con (open with wordpad) manually set resolution to match system setting. Also check your profiles are there atall, set to read only to test.

One guy with similar problems solved it like this:

It took an Odysey to get there, though. I had to reinstall BF2, make a singleplayer profile there, and then copy all the files from Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default to ProjectReality\Profiles\Default. Then the Launcher started, but it refused to proceed retrieving my account completely again, so I just clicked Retrieve once, and closed it. Then i copied the files from Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001 to ProjectReality\Profiles\0001, except for Profile.con and mapList.con. Wasn't sure if mapList would interfere with PR, and Profile.con would change my profile in PR. Then I started up the launcher again, I could normally change all settings and play the game. Happy times. Thanks for trying to help anyway. I'll try to redirect anyone with similar problems to my solution, hopefully it helps them too.
Or take this set from Cloud set at 1260X1024

Well, still no dice I did every thing to fix the issue but I still have the same problem. The log file still gives me the same information and the error message still hasn't changed.

What does I did everything actually mean?

1. Have you got the profiles in Documents? If so look at video.con and copy paste here?

Have you taken the ones from Cloud, have you copied over BF2 ones like the guy at the bottom?

I suspect your profiles are not being created correctly say what you have done and found or else I cant help you.

It looks like your default profile isn't there.

I am sorry I didn't go into specifics.

1.) I went into the profile folder and did find a profile marked default.
2.) I did take the files from the cloud and downloaded them.
3.) After this, I adjusted the resolution to match my system, and set the files to read only.

Can you copy paste the video.con of default please.

Are you w10? Do you have Onedrive running? The launcher wouldn't open even with the profiles from onedrive?

Navigate to the PRBF2.exe right click and run it will go black screen for a bit then run the PR video then it will say you need run the launcher. This is too try and re create your profiles.

Make sure PRBF2 is set as run as admin in properties/compatibility as is the launcher.

Are you using a USB sound device?

Okay never mind about the profile. Apparently I screwed up and put the copy and pasted files into a separate folder. Now I can actually get into the launcher, but now I have another issue. When I started doing an updater for PR a new error popped up saying:

Error 63: Access to the path "c:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality/Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\lashkar_valley\info\mapOverview_gpm_cooop_32.png" is denied

1.) So, does this mean I am missing a map from the download or what?
2.) And, if this is the case can you please tell me how to fix it?

That is just strange, I've never seen that. This is an image for the spawn screen. Where did you download from?

I think you should try a different source, I've always successfully used the torrent system.

Now you can get the launcher up go to support and copy paste specs here

1.) I downloaded this from this site using qBitTorrent which is the program they recommend to use.

2.) But since I started updating PRand it didn't finish because of the error message it won't let me go to the normal launcher screen to get the specs, all it shows is the update's progress and that error message popping up.

Go and see what else is missing in that file above maybe in the course of updating it removes the old one, see if anything else is missing if not I'll one drive you that file to see if we can't restart the update.

Error 63: Access to the path "c:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality/Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\lashkar_valley\info\mapOverview_gpm_co oop_32.png" is denied
I'm assuming that you manually typed that hence co oop not co op?

Error 63 would APPEAR to be C++related

Are you w10?

All have admin permissions right?

Can you open a local map with an offline profile?

If so then it is now a update problem?

I may have to reinstall because I can't even get to the launcher screen. The download progress pops up and doesn't allow me past that.

This is almost certainly a resolution mismatch or maybe dx9, if you can get to the launcher please post specs.

So try again with my profiles from onedrive but you will have to set the resolution to match whatever yours are using wordpad.

1. What is your monitors native resolution?
2. I assume you are using the ondie GPU on CPU?
3. What is your system resolution?
4. In sound manger how many sound outputs are active?
5. Are you using any USB sound devices?

Same as here
