Will 1.4 be released before DayZ releases 0.60 alpha to the public? :P

It's a big release, with many features that upfront are hard to guess how long they will take :) We'll get it done though. Our issue tracker tells me we are at 80% complete for the roadmap. With many of that last 20% still in QA(testing/feedback) it's looking like we are close. Although some of those WIP issues are absolute monsters though :p

Great! For a moment I thought you just left PR a side.

Have you guys thought about splitting the update or something like that? So you can keep the community hype in some way. I feel so much time happened since last update that gives me the sense of this is slowly dying.

Main reason there have been a lack of updates etc is because a lot of r/l stuff has been happening for me over the last few months which has prevented me from doing any real PR work and as such, my projects have somewhat stalled. Hopefully I will be back onto working on them "Soon (TM)" but can't say exactly when that will be.

As for "splitting the update into smaller ones", not really possible tbh. Best we could do is for example leave the Frigate out of the main v1.4 release, but still lots of other things need to be finished even if we did that, so couldn't release right away, or much sooner than we would with it most likley, and the "hype" factor wouldn't be anything like as large if it was split either, compared to the hype generated by one big release, which will bring back many more players than two smaller releases.

Oh lord please, having the frigate early might give rise to some fun events. Would be interesting to see PR's first naval battle.

If math was a accurate thing in PR then this could be said:

898 issues in 236 days (since 1.3.5 (31-10-15))
= 3,8 issues solved a day
= 295 remaining / 3,8 = 77,6 days = 7 September 2016. You heared it here first folks!

I know im wrong, math vs. RL sucks

Community modding is for general modding. Creating things for PR or even other BF2 mods. It is all welcome there.
Community Factions is for work on creating new factions, for PR.
Most stuff happens in modding section and you cant go wrong with posting your stuff there.
