area attack idea
We already have artillery in regular PR.
How difficult would it be to have a rectangular carpet bomb area attack?
It could introduce the new challenge of having it at the right angle to kill enemy without friendly casualties.
I have no idea how this would be achieved if it's even possible.

Would be awesome to have a carpet bomb arty yea! But I'm not sure if it is then possible to let the player or commander decide from which way the carpet bombing will start, and where it will end.
An other idea would be ''just'' to add a plane which can carpet bomb

Should also be noted that area bombing isn't really done during a battle due to the risk of it hitting its own forces. It has only ever been done to my knowledge without a direct impact to a battle (ie, bombing a city or oil refinery, dock yard etc, or just before a battle (ala Normandy where the shores where heavily bombed before the landing forces came in, some of the area bombing was also done well away from the landing beaches to confuse the enemy on where they where coming from).

Those bombers were not accurate..
What about rocket artillery then? Would it be impossible in Pr, visual wise? And was it more like artillery, what does our experts say?

Rocket artillery would be possible. I guess we all know Nebelwerfer. Could also do rocket artillery for normal PR while we are at it

So that works for germans, just some updated sounds, maybe effects and a new pattern then.
But what about mericans? The only thing I can think of they using was that sherman with rockets on it. But is it even necessary?
Perhaps the Omaha pattern also could be different(because it isn't right?) since I assume it's should be coming from ships?

I think the area attack on Omaha should have a bigger radius but with the same amount of explosions.

Could introduce a T34 Calliope that spawns after all beaches are capped and the ships appear on it.sweedensniiperr wrote:So that works for germans, just some updated sounds, maybe effects and a new pattern then.

Also, that featuring in Carentan would be sweet.

Nebelwerfer, would it be a stationary commander arty or a crewman operated one?[R-DEV]Mats391 wrote:Rocket artillery would be possible. I guess we all know Nebelwerfer. Could also do rocket artillery for normal PR while we are at it
How it looks with mobile arty Panzerwerfer 42, operated by crewmans.
