Sam can you do a step by step install guide? I dont think I'm being retarde I just dont know what am I doing wrong.

So heres where I put all the files.
D:\Program Files (x86)\mods
D:\Program Files (x86)\mods\pr
D:\Program Files (x86)\mods\pr\bin

None of them has worked so far.

All my games are on my D, E and F drives, C is my boot SSD

Good to hear that ! :grin: BTW if the performance hit is too high on your system , you can disable bloom and lens effects , and it will run with almost no impact on your FPS !

I'm CTD'ing with 0.6. Everything appears to be loading fine until I try to join any server. Once it's suppose to start loading map PR crashes.

It all worked well with previous version. I've cleaned up all the files from 0.52 before copying the ones from 0.6.

Edit.
Ok, I only get CTD if I try to join online server. Creating local server and deploying on that server does not result in a CTD after reaching map loading screen.

Still, have no problems when trying to join servers without 0.6.

Sam, it's not a problem with your preset it is a problem with the injector itself.

I looked it up and the injector 2.0 of ReShade is optimized for newer games only, it will misbehave with dx9 games badly. 2.0 is still in sort of "alpha" stage.

What you can do is try v1.1 ReShade dll file but maintain the installation, if it keeps all the effects you made using 2.0 then that's the solution. The only other way is for ReShade author to fix the bugs which can take long.

My recommendation is to also add links to older versions of your preset, while 0.6 is awesome it won't hurt to provide links to 0.52 as well for people who have issues with 0.6.

Yeah it works with .55, I suppose it has something to do with reshade, I just wonder why the issue does not pop up in offline mode, only when trying to join an online server.

I've tried replacing the 0.6 d3d9.dll with the one from reshade 2.0.3 and it's the same thing.

Well you can't use the new preset with older injector , because ReShade 2.0 is not backward-compatible ! and since dynamic color correction was only available in ReShade 2.0 framework , I had to use this version ! :-?
But now I ported that code to older versions format and made a alternative preset with v0.52's injector which should work correctly if you could use the v0.52 before !
You can download the new alternative version from first post now ! ;-)

BTW the original v0.52 preset also was/and is available in first post too !

That's awesome :D

I personally haven't had any issues with GEM 0.6 based on 2.0 maybe because I play PR on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with newer hardware, but it's great you found a way to port 1.1 into it.

1.1 may be old and even though I am reaching the maximum potential in it with RD I still manage to find new things to play with. It's a powerful reshading kit specially the McFly recompile which uses SweetFx textures and ReShade 2.0 shaders.

I'm working on a helmetcam emulator which is pretty fun, it just shows that 1.1 is more than sufficient and it has a lot to offer.

Here it is with BF4, works with any game pretty much.

Either way, it's awesome that you provided 0.52 backup links as 0.52 is the one I personally like the most, which inspired me to make my own preset. I don't think you should stop with 0.6 either, try to port your preset to other games :P How about Squad?

Ok thx sam it works now. I think you should put this pic in the main OP, because it really helped me alot.

Also if you have PR installed on any drive but C like I do, use windows search function to locate 'prbf2.exe' and extract the files to that folder.

Delete "d3d9.dll" , "ReShade.fx" and "ReShade" folder from your PR main folder !!

I couldn't agree more. FXAA just ruins the entire reshade for me. Is there any way to disable it?

Yes , go to ReShade > Presets > Default and open the "Shaders_by_CeeJay.cfg" with a text editor ( notepad ) , then find this line under FXAA section >
#define USE_FXAA 1
and replace it with this one >
#define USE_FXAA 0
