Mouse wont move on Squad selection menu;no action from keys

I can see movement on the map, the timer counting down in the top right, and flowing grass effects behind the menu and hear sporadic gunfire and explosions going on in the background but my cursor doesnt move, including on my mousepad and I get no response from pressing keys in the Squad Selection Menu. Please help.
