Fresh install on PR:BF2 on Win10 (1607).
No issues with install, rebooted after. Installed DX9 2010 SDK, no issues.
Game loads the launcher, displays the intro movie, and then closes. No error other than closure dialog box saying cleaning up resources.
no launcher.log file to help. How Can I determine what's wrong / missing.

Does the game launch in windowed mode? I have the same issue as you, but it only crashes in fullscreen mode.

Re: CTD after splash screen movie
You could try to delete (or rename it to something else, so you can revert this if needed) the "video.con" file in My Documents / ProjectReality / Profiles / 000x /. If that helps, the crashes have to do with your video settings. For example, in many cases the framerate inside the video.con doesn't match with the framerate your monitor supports.
That "000x" can be 0001, 0002, or anything that looks like that.
If you can launch the game now, you can try to set your desired resolution and all that again, through the launcher.
Edit: above method might fail now, so try to set the resolution to something lower and disable AA, to see if that helps anything?

Tried that, when i reset the display option i pick from the menu and select the current desktop resolution, however when I do a support log collect, its reporting my refresh rate @ 59Hz, not the 60Hz that the drivers are reporting.

Re: CTD after splash screen movie
I now have the refresh issue fixed, so my reported refresh rate and the set rate are the same. and the game after a fresh install still CTD's as soon as the intro movie finishes.
Is there any way to get any logging of the startup process to see what the issue is, as I font get any error message being reported.

Re: CTD after splash screen movie
@Dusty, can you post up your system specs from the launcher please.
Can be an audio issue(USB headphones), video issue, or something else, not sure until I know what you got.
