[HELP] Building a new PC.

Hello.

I want to build a new PC and replace mine wich is aging as we speak.

My old graphics card death (ATI Radeon HD 6850) is more than a excuse to go looking for a new one, this time I want something that will allow me to play the things that were out of reach before.

I must say that I'm a complete ignorant when it comes to building PCs, I used to be in touch with the latest tech but not anymore, that was years ago, mind you.

Now, this is my current system:

Motherboard: ASUS A58M-K
Processor: AMD A8-7600 Radeon R7
Graphics: Integrated, RIP HD 6850.
RAM: 8GB DDR3

Anything else?

So, my idea is to have a solid build around a GeForce GTX 1080, which in the local market is quite expensive (literally 2 months worth of salary). So I think I'll need a new processor (Intel, if possible?), a new Motherboard as well and maybe four extra gigs of RAM?. The budget doesn't have a limit yet but still, I dont want to overkill it.


You guys can enlighten me.
