Ryzen CPUs are not ideal for gaming (especially not older games) or single threaded tasks, due to the slower cores, but they outperform the competition in multithreaded tasks at a much lower and competitive price, but I'm sure there's more to the story since even I with a beefy 4.7GHz overclock experience lag and low fps on the newer maps and factions.

Three words. Single. Thread. Performance.

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html

My Intel CPU is above 2,100(even though it's a low budget one). And I have more than 30 FPS on all the maps. Majority of maps gives me even more than that about 50-60 and sometimes even more than 100 FPS.

I wanted to upgrade up to https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cp ... Hz&id=3045 but then Spectre and Meltdown happened and now I am going to wait for them to fix that shit.
