Lost Connection to Server

Post by SgtSyed »

I know this problem has occurred to many users and has been resolved multiple times, but I think I got something else.

I use to have Bell Internet and the game worked perfectly. I can join whatever server and play. I just recently switched to Rogers Internet and I always end up getting the "Lost Connection to Server" just 5-15 seconds after joining a game. The game fully loads up, I go to join a squad and bang! I lost connection.
I am pretty sure that my internet service switch is not the issue, any one have an idea on what the issue is?

Any tips on solving this?

I think I found a temporary Solution myself. I can join and play a server but as long as I'm connected to the Internet via an Ethernet cable. Wi-Fi tends to cause the "Lost Connection to Server" error.

I also ran a few speed tests and found that the Ethernet cable is significantly faster than Wi-Fi (Pretty Obvious)
but I was able to use W-Fi with my previous Internet Service Provider. Not sure why

Continue using Ethernet for all PC gaming unless impossible. You will have less lag, better connection stability, etc. Avoid using WiFi if able

Also, forward your ports for games that have disconnect issues like this - not always the solution, but won't hurt to funnel gaming traffic to your gaming PC:

...forward ports to the IP address of your PC through it's WiFi connection (remove ethernet cable first, reconnect to WiFi)
