PRLauncher critical error - 1.6

Hi guys,

I've got this issue on my new Win10 PC, trying to launch PR 1.6:

Delete the Project Reality folder in my documents and then run the launcher as admin.

Done several times. It doesn't work.

I had the same issue trying to reinstall 1.5. So I decided to wait for 1.6 .. and I'm miserable now :(

Try manually adding a 800x600 resolution to your video card. NVIDIA I know offers to add custom resolutions to your driver.

Working on a fix for next update.

Temporary fix:
Go to or create

Code: Select all

C:\Users\<User>\Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles\Default
and create an empty Video.con file. This should enable you to launch PR.

the game loaded!

but now I have error 1324 :(

launcher loaded, retrieved old account and then I have this

tried ALL settings but video.con is always empty

Yeah its worked but now i still have the same issues with the guy overthere with the error "1324" .

Ok, no idea why it keeps happening, so just use the same work-around as Chip:

Go to

Code: Select all

C:\Users\<User>\Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles\Default
And create a Video.con file. Then open it with text editor and copy this into it

VideoSettings.setTerrainQuality 3
VideoSettings.setGeometryQuality 3
VideoSettings.setLightingQuality 3
VideoSettings.setDynamicLightingQuality 3
VideoSettings.setDynamicShadowsQuality 3
VideoSettings.setEffectsQuality 3
VideoSettings.setTextureQuality 3
VideoSettings.setTextureFilteringQuality 3

VideoSettings.setViewDistanceScale 1

After that try to set the resolution for your profile in the options.

So yeah still the same. Apparently when I change the game settings and save, they don't change and go back to the default set.
