Hello fellows... I have been a long time playing PR2 with friends in my country and alone, against the AI. Well, changes have been made over our network connections, so, to put it in a simple way I can host LAN games but they dont see my server... I have been told by my network administrator that in order to do that I need a dedicated server software of the game, in this case a PR2 server so I can host games with my friends again...
The reason why I am here is because I dont get if I can apply for that license...
I live in Cuba and over here connections are cut off from the internet, so I dont know if the developers would like to share a dedicated server for my personal use with some dozens of friends...
Please, help me... Its hard as it is living over here without bandwith internet on my pc so thats why I write this over my smartphone... its a shitty country I know, I just would like to download the server so I can play with my friends... But I dont know if I can apply for that...
Thanks in advance,
I love the game... ????

Re: Need Help With Server License
Use Join IP and have the host open port 16567 UDP.
You don't need a server license for players to be able to join with IP.

but if I wanted to leave the server persistently hosting being able to play other stuff while I host without having pr2 eating my pc resources???
Please what I can do in this case?

Re: Need Help With Server License
You could run it on another computer, one that you are not playing the game on. This is known as a dedicated server. It has one job, and that is to run a game server. A separate computer is the only way to not have your server eating up your pc resources.littleHERO wrote:that makes sense...
