I just downloaded 1.6 and was trying to get on some servers, but it kept on saying my account level was too low. When I checked on it in "support", it said I have a score of zero, even though I've been playing for years. when I ran the calculation, it said that my steam account was private, but my account is really public. I retrieved my old profile, but my score is still at zero.
To make matters worse, what servers I can get on, I get kicked from the server within minutes. Any help for either of these problems would be much appreciated.

Are you certain your steam profile is public?
Even if your steam profile is public, there is a chance you will be at level 0. This is due to us taking into account games that you bought on the steam store for example. We do this to verify that it's not just a steam account made to create a new PR profile after you were banned from a server. A throw-away account. So we calculate the level based on that and inform servers of that level. They can choose which minimum level is required.
You can also contact the server owners you want to play on and ask to be put on the whitelist, that way you can join their server no matter your level.

Played pr from its early days. Was able to play one day then canned the following day. Seems PR or more steam has so many players that players like myself are no longer needed.

Don't be so dramatic, these measures are taken for a reason to try to combat griefers/hackers who are ruining the game for everyone.
