CTD every 1-2 rounds (error 1353)

Post by angels10 »

Ever since the last update the game crashes instantly around 30 to 40 minutes of playtime with a message "BF2 :P R has closed, cleaning up resources".

ProcDump does not generate a dump file.
Have crashed two times in a row while pressing H (local speech).

Temporary solution is to set your profile folder to read only after launching the game (you may need to do it every time). We'll look into it after 1.6.3, we couldn't figure out why the other guy was getting it.

Since I don't know whether it's a video or audio issue, I'm running all .con files inside my profile as read only, and it seems to work. Thank you.
