Error 8:Unable to find root BF2 Directory. Please reinstall Project Reality: BF2

When I launch the game this error immedietly pops up. I reinstalled the game twice after it happened the first time, but every time I reinstall the game and play it once, I have to reinstall it again next time i try to launch the game because the error pops up.

I know there are other threads with the same issue and their solution was to change the shortcut or launch the games exe from the bin folder, but I tried that and it doesnt work, still get the same error message.

The exe file location is "D:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\bin\PRLauncher.exe"

-Try running without the shortcut
-Check if your anti virus deleted PRBF2.exe

As I said "or launch the games exe from the bin folder", if i launch the original exe I still get the same error message, plus the anti virus didnt do anything.

The error message happens after I reinstall, play the game once, turn it off. If I try to launch the game again i get the error message.

Check if D:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\PRBF2.exe exists.

I reinstalled again and what do you know, my antivirus caught the exe. I recovered the exe and made an exception for it and now it works.
