Karbala needs a rework

Insurgents need an AA truck to counter the hind. 50 cals just dont cut it. Rocket techie is useless inside of the city and gets slaughtered outside of it. Sight lines are long and unbroken; favoring scopes and machine guns. Still too easy to spawntrap insurgents inside their main. Polish spawning in the city gives them a huge advantage. The hotel at kilo 8 kp3/kilo 9 kp9 needs a ladder to the top, because the polish can just land on top of it and build a super fob or just snipe and accrue intel that way. Insurgents have no good counter other than rpgs which are very easily countered even by the standard rifleman. The riverbank is too steep and its too easy to fall in. The compounds outside of the city are impossible to get to and defend as insurgent.

Personally i dont think they need the AA truck, you can just use the AA kit that spawns on the main base

I dont like on karbala ins how the ammocaches spawn. To easy predictable.

They always spawn in the same area. Insurgents are lucky when they got 2 caches in the city that not directly spawn to the desert urban edge.

MK19 humvee shouldn't be in insurgency layer.

AA truck is multi purpose. Not only can it deal with cas, but it can deal with infantry, brdms and humvees and jeeps too.

Karbala imo doesn't feel like a PR map either, just feels like an empty battle arena. Not that I want it to feel like Burning Sands or similar maps with a desert and city, but the feel and look of it just isn't right. I also agree caches spawn in areas that even the most incompetent blufor team can manage. And with a good CAS squad forget about it.

Look when Karbala came out.

We had only 64 players these times and karbala wasn't designed to have a Blufor area at roundstart in the middle of the city that got later added.

Could it be possible that Karbala is the only one map that has Blufor spawns in the midddle of the map?

The insurgents have 3 armed technicals, 1 missile techie, 1/2 spg techies (depends on layer) and a delayed bombtruck and bombcar. Polish forces has: .... way much more firepower and spawn close to ins mainbase.

That isn't asymetrical warfare anymore. It's boring 45 minutes for the ins team.

No, Basrah has the VCP spawn since forever.

I've seen rounds last as short as 30 minutes. I've also seen an insurgent team put up a decent defense, but as soon as the cas spawns, it's game over. The only time insurgents win karbala is if a majority of the caches are in the city, or the blufor team is very, very bad.

I agree that if the CAS is good it’s often the time the battle tend to turn even with a good insurgent team and lot of defenses. What about removing it and maybr just add an extra trans??!

Supporting this game since 0.6 Never gonna give up!
