Looks good. I suppose you guys can think of more things to improve when/if you take a closer look at it.

Played this layout 2 days ago with the flag being placed in the oil silos.Outlawz7 wrote:I suppose this
It was awful you dont have a good defensive position besides a small building that can be suppressed by a single player or standing behind the oil silos (that warehouse is not in cap range, only a small portion of it on the NW corner)
MEC has just a far too easy time going down hill and sneaking around the flag while you are suppressed from people on the roof of District Hill while the French forces cant really counter them without being shot. Which brings to my other point its too hard for France to push, either go up hill or you have to move to the T-Shapes which makes you cross the open ground and are probably garrisoned.
Flanking is the only way but with the current retardeness of PR player base thats not a option, you need more people defending than pushing otherwise you cant hold the flag for too long, after that you are already pushed to your last flag (its a great flag but you are 1 Area attack from loosing the game).
I honestly think there should be another flag in the city for France the current layout is too Biased towards MEC

Re: Marlin Flag Layouts
Played this layout again.
Our team came out from a rape as the winning side, we ended up playing as French and same exact outcome, we lost pretty hard. A lot of people also end up quitting at the end of the match on French side due to frustration because of the map

The flag itself may lack cover to defend it, but there's plenty of other places to mount an effective defensive position.Brotherscompany wrote:It was awful you dont have a good defensive position besides a small building that can be suppressed by a single player or standing behind the oil silos (that warehouse is not in cap range, only a small portion of it on the NW corner)
MEC has just a far too easy time going down hill and sneaking around the flag while you are suppressed from people on the roof of District Hill while the French forces cant really counter them without being shot.
For example:
- The "highway" offers no cover, meaning a single AR/HMG can make it a killzone.
- A tow in the mountain can see almost all approach angles and kill everything.
- Plenty of spaces to place a fob that will survive mortars.

It just a matter of having a decent team, the mapper it self can't plan for all player types.

Dont question the wikipedia! Just because it reports different things on different languages does not make it unreliable source!

Although what you just said is true, issue lately is having a decent team taking into account the current situation...UTurista wrote:The flag itself may lack cover to defend it, but there's plenty of other places to mount an effective defensive position.

Sitting in the mountain is also a easy way of getting sniped from my experience.
Adding a flag on France side would solve the issue, there are more flags in the side of MEC even with a better team that had raped the enemy team we lost because yet again a Area attack was dropped and we simply had ticket bleed, its a death sentence to France loosing the other side of the river
