We are excited to share with you our next update for Project Reality: Battlefield 2. In this version we introduce a brand new map, say goodbye to an old one and introduce some exciting new changes to the way our developers can interact with the BF2 game. To learn more about these changes and new content in v1.6.6 you can read our highlight here.

PR:BF2 v1.6.6.1 Changelog (2021/05/20)

General: Vehicles:
  • Added RHIB without an attached MG.
  • Updated PLA Landing boat to allow passengers to use their weapons.
  • Fixed UH-1D Medevac passenger sitting outside.
Weapons:
  • Fixed FG42 being too quiet.
Levels:
  • Adak:
    • AAS32: Fixed US DOD, fixed wrong flag names, added two more boats to RU.
    • COOP128: Updated gameplay objects.
  • Battle of Ia Drang:
    • Added Skirmish 32.
    • AAS32 & AAS64: Updated initial rollout of both teams.
  • Charlies Point:
    • Fixed players spawning inside of houses.
  • Operation Bobcat:
    • Updated USMC RHIBs to unarmed version.
  • Operation Soul Rebel:
    • AAS: Updated gameplay objects.
  • Xiangshan:
    • Added AAS128 & CNC128 with Vietnam USA vs NVA.

  • Added new option for crouch toggle. (Default enabled)
  • Added Windows server files to client install for playing in LAN.
  • Fixed sometimes being unable to drag bodies when close to the feet.
Menu:
  • Added information to show reason for being unable to spawn.
  • Fixed Mutiny button being invisible.
  • Fixed compass disappearing when aiming straight south.
Weapons:
  • Fixed L4 Bren Gun not having indoor firing sound.
  • Updated M1 Garand firing sounds.
Vehicles:
  • Added 3d sound when firing flares.
  • Fixed CV90 firing sound being too loud.
  • Fixed Mengshi gunner having blank selection icon.
Levels:
  • General:
    • Added Operation Bobcat - BETA (4x4km) - AAS & Skirmish - USMC vs PLA Marines
    • Removed Flat Earth. Turned out it is indeed round.
    • Removed Operation Archer.
  • Adak:
    • Added COOP128 created by Langmaster.
  • Ras el Masri:
    • AAS64: Fixed a few spawnpoints being underwater.
    • SKIRMISH: Fixed main bases being capable.

Lets remove map which didnt had good aas and was mostly played for ins,but yea remove it coz u not were able to make new aas flag layouts for other maps but not for this one *clap* *clap*.Just bring it back.So remove kasnan coz its old bruh.

We also have made the decision to remove Operation Archer in this release. With the enormous map library currently in-game of 66 maps, sometimes we have to make the tough decision to remove one. We simply neither have the manpower and motivation to support each one with the same amount of love and dedication. Furthermore, not all maps are equally popular and played regularly on our public servers. This is often due to maps no longer working and being adaptable to the ever changing gameplay of the game. Operation Archer was developed in 2007 and has served us well. But for now, we put it safely in our map vault.

we need more maps not removing them !! STOP REMOVING MAPS !!!

Removed Flat Earth?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????. ... i was only able to play 2 times at this map ... damn !!!

bring all the old maps !!!

we want more map !!! MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP !!

we love those maps even they have bugs in it ... just leave it if it is working ...


even archer should stay at least for skirmish or something:/

i dont even remember the last time i played korengal valley (seriously i think it was more than 1 year ago) but it is still good map with bugs :) ...??????

With progress comes change. With change comes loss. RIP to the memories of scaling the side of castle mountain with a whole squad and and a rope, trying to not fall off. Excited to try the new map though.

Man it is sad. Archer was one of my favorite ins maps and it was always a treat when it would miraculously beat out fallujah or ramiel. Wish this crouch toggle was made years ago to save my pinky but better late than never! Awesome job devs!!

I understand not having someone to maintain Archer, but meh... there are so many worst maps to be taken out. Archer was great.

Damn, I'll miss Archer. Can't believe it was from 2007! Didn't seem clunky or outdated. Wish I'd gotten the chance to play it a bit more before it disappeared. Op Bobcat better be damn good!

You can download the map to your local echo chamber and then add it to the PR levels folder again after updating.

Wish we didn't have to get rid of one of the few INS maps Archer was played more than many Maps we still have.
But looking forward to checking out the new map... thanks for the work guys
