Black screen that reads "Failed Linking to the Launcher" while playing

Post by orti »

So, after the 1.6.5 update, it's getting hard to get a good experience playing.

In the middle of the match, seemingly randomly, my screen goes all black, with a text that reads "Failed Linking to the Launcher - visit http://www.realitymod.com for help". The HUD is still there, I can move and look around (I can tell by the compass), but I can't see a thing. It lasts anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds. Sometimes, if I press ESC and come back the screen goes back to normal, but not always. It doesn't seems to be caused by anything in the match itself, sometimes it happens in the base, sometimes while i'm waiting to spawn, sometimes in the middle of combat. I wasn't able to get a print myself, but if looks exactly like this one:

https://ibb.co/PgDKPgs

Not only that, but my Mumble seems to be all messed up. In a similar way, sometimes it works normally, but some other times it looks like I can't talk at all. Also lasts from around 5 to 30 seconds. The little green or blue speaker icons won't appear, and both people can't hear me talking and I can't hear people.

That and both the blur and focus when aiming down sights do not work properly. Blur takes a while to start, and sometimes remains when i'm off the sights. I can't use focus either.

I never had these problems before, all begun after the update. I have no idea if they are related to the update or to each other. I've looked around the forum and it seems like a few people also had this problem (the black screen one at least), but I didn't see any solution. I've tried reinstalling the game, running the game as administrator, setting priority to high, turning antivirus off, but to no avail. My specs are the following:

Also, everything has been tried, from turning off the antivirus to deleting the game and downloading it again, the problem sometimes gets better when you press esc and sometimes it doesn't, and it happens at different intervals, seriously it would be good to use help.
