Remove scopes on AAS layers with unconventional factions

Post by Brotherscompany »

So l think l can safely say most people enjoy maps with Militia vs Russia like Grozny and Kozelsk and even though (from my understanding) Militia has weaker body armor and can get 2 shot it doesn't feel like a major disavantage or at least worthy of considering like a major unbalance issue since both sides have iron sights and it ends up feeling like a close fight.

So my suggestion would basically be removing the scopes from other maps like Iron Ridge for the Polish were they just destroy Militia with scoped weapons for a more balanced experience. Honestly l wouldn't mind maps involving Taliban to keep scopes for authenticity reasons but for the remaining it be nice to be able to consider playing them. Im kinda aware most unconventional AAS are like this but in case lm missing any of them I'd be nice for them to be updated

I think most maps with scopes vs non conventional factions are fine. Dragon Fly is fine, Brits still get steamrolled by good Czech team. Karbala and other ins maps are a hit or miss sometimes. There aren't many maps where it feels unbalanced to fight against teams with optics while you have iron sights.

I would really rather have bluefor keep the scopes, since certain kits (sniper/marksman) will have scopes on both factions either way, and removing the scopes just pushes people to lonewolf with those kits.

No

Allow unconventional factions forces to take enemy kits (that have scops). They do that IRL... why cant they do it in the game???!

Having to play maps without a faction with any optics to see at range literally makes me stop playing PR for the day.

Especially when you don't even have bino's.

Just get so annoyed when I have no way to see something past 100m.

Majority of maps with iron sights have battles occuring at like 150m or less. In most cases anywhere between 75-0m away. Only bamyan and jabal ,alongside a very few others, have fights with ironsights at ranges 100m+

But having scopes is a disadvantage tho. Insurgents playground has always been in close quarters as BLUEFOR usually sends their assets to deal with anything in mid to long ranges. Having BLUEFOR use scopes puts them at a disadvantage on those close quarters battles as INS can aim quicker and have better perception of their surroundings, plus that snap from unscoped to scoped is pretty uncomfortable at ranges below 50 meters and BLUEFOR will always have to get closer than that to get to the area where the cache is.

Tactics are not the point.

Its not natural to live in a 50m bubble.

Its the ability to have situational awareness at realistic distances.

I feel optics are a must for game play, either on the weapons or as some binoculars in the kit.
