I use the old presets, a few of them are actually included in base Reshade installation

GEMv1.7.1 ReShade
Download the main file from the link below and extract it in your main Project Reality BF2 folder ( where your PRBF2.exe is located ) !

NOTE:
You can use Scroll Lock key to toggle ReShade's effects ON/OFF ingame !
You also can use Home key to open reshade overlay and choose a preset from the included presets . ( How To )



Known bugs :
ReShade only works on windows 7 SP1 or newer operating systems !
ReShade doesn't work if your are using any other app with a overlay feature (Frap , MSI afterburner , ...) ! if you have any problem with the utility itself or you want to know how to tweak some of the effects to your liking , just replay to this thread and I'll be happy to help you with it ! ;)

#Alt+Tab crash bug Fixed

this build includes a new preset (preset A) and 2 other , based on previous popular version . GEM0.64 (preset B) and GEM0.52CX (preset C) , and you can change between them , while in game !

Hey, Sam! Any chance for a version with Ambient Occlusion working? Seems like Heat of Battle has a version of it working on Battlefield 2:

I tried fucking around with it on PR, but for some reason my MXAO won't work.

I'm also curious with this, I've changed the settings from the nvidia inspector to enable AO but the AO is not very visible unless you are very close to the object.

It used to be very visible years ago, but not anymore for some reason. Were you trying the Fallout 3 AO?

correct,I have tried others but this seems to be the most visible.

Hey mate ! here you go >> GEM1.7.1AO
Just turn off Anti-Aliasing in PR graphics options and use this preset .
It seems that AO only works with reshade v4.4 and PR needed some additional tweaking , but got it working 8-)

Driver forced AO also used to be a thing, probably still is, I haven't used it in a while since it makes enemies harder to see.

You are the real MVP, Sam! Gonna test it and give feedback here.


Edit: Seems like most of the qUINT master Shaders work on ReShader 4.4 properly... Maybe you should stick with version of the injector?

also i saw at their discord(reshade) that they are interested in PR :)

I am the person behind that post lol. I now work on the in-game shaders PR uses

If you guys want, I can make a ReShade shader pack (not preset) for Project Reality. With optimizations and better lighting through gamma correction. Can host it on GitHub as a fork of SweetFX called realityFX or something :v

YES PLEASE :) )

without reshade PR looks so weird for me ???? i can not play without reshade, and it would be great if it is integrated into PR :)

So, if i understand correctly i can use GEM1.7.1AO in PR without additional tweaking except disabling Antialiasing?
