Can a Dell Latitude E5450 run PR?

Post by macguy »

Question in the title :lol:

I understand that the computer is pretty bad, but could it run PR on low-med settings on a full online server? I have a fast 5G network so at least the internet won't be an issue. Here are the specs:
* Intel i5 5300U 2.3GhZ
* RAM 8GB
* Graphics Card Intel HD 5500

I also have a MacBook Pro Mid 2015, which should be able to run PR pretty well specs-wise, but installing bootcamp is a pain that I've been trying to deal with for the last few days, so I'm wondering if using my old Dell would be easier.. and I'm not a 100% sure on whether or not PR can even be played through Bootcamp.

Update: I got PR to work on my MacBook Pro (mid 2015 model) by installing Bootcamp :lol: So happy to be back to pr after years. I just hope it works online.

Ping might not be an issue but I wonder if that 5G is stable enough for FPS games in terms of packet loss.

Highly doubtful. It really depends on how many clients are on the same network, and a lot of other factors that may change (as in, get worse) over time. If it's just fine now, that is not a guarantee that it will be in future.

COOP... maybe. PvP... ymmv

I didn't notice any performance hiccups using 5G. I did however average around 20-30fps, so not optimal gameplay. This probably isn't caused by network though?

I'm playing with my potato laptop and except some long loadings there wasn't any problem
4 GB ddr3 Ram
Core i-5 5200U Cpu
GeForce 820M graphic card
And 3.5G internet connection (my ping is usually around 100 to 300)

If you want to burn out your GPU trying to play a FPS game on a business class/low end laptop.
