ZTZ-96 for China

Post by Commander_31 »

The Chinese faction in the game have two MBTs, the ZTZ-98 and ZTZ-99, the problem is that China don't operate ZTZ-98s anymore, because they was just prototypes os the 99 model made in the 90s-2000s. The most numerous modernized tank in the chinese arsenal by now is the ZTZ-96, which is a modernization of the ZTZ-80 line. Would be nice if the ZTZ -98 in the game was replaced by the ZTZ-96 model, to be more accurate with the China's modern military

For a Long time the only tank in Russian Arsenal was the T-90A, basically because BF2, but the Russians had the T-72 as its most operated tank, which makes sense when you consider the protection level of a T-72B vs a T-90 (before you modify with what ERA you are using)

Today we have multiple T-72 because of a drive to remove the T-90A from MEC, this probably won't happen here... specially if theres no gameplay differences between both (T-72B3 getting added is extremely strange when you consider its literally a T-90A gameplay wise)

However if you happen to know a guy, that can be you, who can make and donate the ZTZ-96 model, specially if its better polly than the current one, the Devs will happly implement it in game.

This also is why you don't really see stuff like Ukraine, (Name NATO country not in game), SAA, its a question of human resources.

Either way if it provides a different enough gameplay (even if its T-72B with Kontak-1 and no Thermals vs Thermals T-90A) its a good idea.
