So since I started playing Project Reality I began to experience problems with the bots, whether it be things like driving vehicles like tanks, APC, piloting planes, or helicopters, for me, it has been a nightmare since there are times when they can't handle them and they are left without doing anything in the bases, this happens in almost all the Std, Alt maps and finally, the most recurrent, the Lrg maps.

I know that it is not an easy job since the game runs on an old Engine, but I would like the AI ??to be improved since I usually play COOP very often. Have a good day, afternoon, or night. :goodvibes

Not sure how you are doing it, or any further details such as which maps, etc. because you have not provided anything to look into. How are you running this? What are your computer specifications (CPU/RAM/GPU/Storage/OS/etc.)?

Of course, we run a dedicated COOP Server with up to 48 bots over at VG, and we have no issues that I am aware of similar to what you have described, vague though it is.

I could imagine there are times when bots have no instructions and therefore may be standing around, and this may be indicative of problems, or possibly on purpose if for example they were holding a position with no targets in sight and while yet other bots were tasked with advancing or otherwise acting in a recognizable manner to you.

There are many people here who know so much more about what is going on, and would be better able to evaluate what you are seeing and whether it is problematic or expected behavior, but you will need to provide more details like screenshots, explanations of what you see and conversely what you had expected to see, right down to the specifics of how you are running this and which maps and layers of that map you are experiencing it on.

Videos could help, too, but there's really nothing to act upon (no offense intended at all) to just request the AI to be improved without further details.

the AI in PR is so dumb lol
like in Grozny standard, some of the NPCs that are riding the APC literally don't go anywhere

while they also only pick the standard kits (Officer/Cell Leader, Grenadier, Rifleman, Rifleman/Militant/Warrior/Insurgent, Automatic Rifleman, Breacher/Scout/Rifleman Specialist, LAT Rifleman, Medic), and don't pick the other kits (AP Rifleman, Sniper, Marksman, Machinegunner, HAT Rifleman, AA Rifleman, Pilot, Crewman) or any Insurgent pick ups

i guess it depends on the navmesh of the maps

I completely forgot that I had made this request, but pretty much this is what I would say technically. I just recently saw this video and I think it would be incredible if it were implemented in PR, I think I'm already rambling a lot on the subject but well, here you go.

It would be funny if the artificial intelligence could follow you throughout the game but anyway, I doubt this will happen, at least in a short period of time lol :lol:

oooh i saw BlueDrake's video on the AI before and i really loved that we were gonna get actually smart AI :D

though yeah it would be funny, maybe as a Squad Leader thing lol

Bots detecting you from insane distances also is a problem

I've been thinking about the A.I. working with bots in the game to...
That would be awesome, if Bots could do Just a bit complexes tasks would be really helpful...
And i have the same complain about bots aiming at you from a absurd distances...
But it would be perfect if we could give individual orders to bots in the squad, but i know that's a little too much...

I think thats true lol. I could be wrong but, I was playing yesterday and seems that the bot can see you from very far distance. It really dont bother me much so I can practice to be more aware but seems that they can see you from far away. I ralized this at the Omaha Beach map :-P
