Belyaevo - (4x4km) - German Wehrmacht vs Soviet Red Army - AAS
By: [R-DEV]Rusty42
Based on the German drive on Moscow in 1941. After the encirclement and occupation of the city of Vyazma, the German 4th Army next to the 4th Panzer Army continued their drive east towards Moscow. In their path lay the village of Belyaevo. The first snow had already fallen and quickly melted again, turning the roads into deep mud. In addition to this, the area of Belyaevo had been greatly fortified by the Soviet 33rd Army under the command of Lt.General Mikhail Yefremov. The Germans were about to encounter truly hard resistance. The map features a beautiful rolling landscape covered with forests and defensive trench systems, intersected by a wide river.
Battle of Debrecen - (2x2km) - German Wehrmacht vs Soviet Red Army - AAS
By [R-DEV]Ason
The Soviet "Debrecen Offensive Operation" took place in eastern Hungary in the autumn of 1944. After the Romanians switched sides, the road to Hungary lay open for the Red Army. The Soviets were quick to take advantage of this and forced their way into Hungary from the south-east, bypassing the strong Árpád Line along the Carpathian mountains. The goal of the operation was to cut off German and Hungarian units in eastern Hungary as well as reaching the capital of Budapest. The Germans and Hungarians were however able to organize new defensive lines and prevent another catastrophe by temporarily stopping and encircling Red Army units outside the city of Debrecen. The map features an autumn landscape of eastern Hungary, several different types of forests, and a large village in the center of the map.
Battle of Kerch - (4x4km) - German Wehrmacht vs Soviet Red Army - AAS
By [R-DEV]Ason
This map is based on the fighting on the Kerch peninsula of Crimea. The peninsula saw battles from 1941 to 1944. The Germans first captured the peninsula in 1941 during "Operation Barbarossa". The Red Army then recaptured the peninsula at the end of 1941 after an amphibious operation. The Germans managed to retake the peninsula during "Operation Bustard Hunt" in May of 1942. The Soviets then made another attempt to retake the peninsula during the "Kerch-Eltigen Operation" in 1943, which failed, although they managed to secure a beachhead to the north of the city of Kerch which they would use as a springboard in the final offensive in 1944 when they finally managed to recapture the whole peninsula and subsequently drive German forces out of Crimea completely.
The map features a barren steppe-like landscape with multiple smaller villages strewn about. Support from half-tracks and other vehicles will be needed to advance safely in any direction.
Operation Brunswick - (2x2km) - German Wehrmacht vs Soviet Red Army - AAS
By [R-DEV]Ason
Based on the German drive on Stalingrad and the Caucasus during "Operation Braunschweig(Brunswick)" in the summer of 1942. the map takes place in an area west of Stalingrad and north of Rostov. It was one of the last operations where the Germans still truly held the offensive initiative on the Eastern front. The map features a central village, grain depots, farmlands, and smaller forests covered in dry grass from the summer heat.
Rzhev - (2x2km) - German Wehrmacht vs Soviet Red Army - AAS
By [R-DEV]Ason
Nicknamed the "Rzhev Meatgrinder", the battles and conditions around the city of Rzhev were extremely harsh for both sides. The German Army was pushed back to the area after the Soviet winter offensive of 1941. There they were able to hold their positions for more than a year before finally being forced to retreat further. The fighting in the area raged from January of 1942 to March of 1943. The map features a lush green environment, covered in damp morning fog.
Stalingrad - (2x2km) - German Wehrmacht vs Soviet Red Army - AAS
By [R-DEV]Ason
Perhaps one of the most famous battles of the entire war, The Battle of Stalingrad has been featured in many games over the years and has now finally made it into Project Reality. Based on the German 6th Army's struggle to capture the city, and the Soviet 62nd Army's heroic defense of the city, this map will take you back in history to one of the bloodiest battlefields of the war. The map features a heavily destroyed urban environment with several different types of areas, from suburbs to industrial areas to downtown urban environments. A large amount of new buildings have also been created, which were necessary to create a map with the level of destruction seen in Stalingrad. In addition to this, you will be able to fight in two different periods. One takes place in the late summer of 1942 shortly after the Germans started pushing into the city, and a winter version which takes place after the Soviet offensive which left the German 6th Army isolated in the cold ruins of the city.
