PROJECT REALITY INTERNET PROBLEM

Post by SunBladeZ »

Friends, I can open and play singleplayer Project Reality, but when connecting to multiplayer servers, I can't connect without Cloudflare WARP. Strangely, when I try to join the server without WARP, the game freezes when I select the server and click 'Join' button in the server menu, but with WARP, I can join and play without any issues.

I get extremely high ping with WARP. I need to fix this issue. Thank you for your help for now.

If you cannot play online without WARP, then you might be an unlucky customer of incompetent or evil internet service provider, or victim of internet censorship. There are no good solutions or workarounds available to any of those problems. Things you can try are:
  • Talk to your ISP
  • Find faster VPN
  • Try evade censorship with GoodbyeDPI
  • Overthrow your government
  • Move to another country

First of all, how am I supposed to talk to the ISP? Am I going to tell the guy, 'The game freezes when I click the join server button in Project Reality'? That would be pretty funny.
Secondly, why would my country or government ban or restrict Project Reality? I don't really understand the situation. Because there is no have any reason for that.
Could you please help me out a bit more? Also, I don't get how there wouldn't be a solution.
Maybe it's the firewall, or resetting the modem, or something else. Please I need useful ideas.

Thank you so so so much for now. (By the way past years I played a lot of PR I can't play PR just a last 1 year.

Actually, if we could see what error occurred or what was happening in the background, such as through a command panel, we might be able to solve the problem when the game freezes.

If it's indeed your ISP but you never tell them anything, nothing is going to change either.

Internet censorship might not target PR specifically, but the way it's done affects PR too. They might, for example, block Steam and PR happen to use Steam to login online profiles, or they might block a bunch of foreign domain names resulting PR master server becoming unreachable.

I don't know anything about your internet connection or your network hardware and, frankly, I don't care to know because this is not a generic IT help desk. I do this voluntarily on my own time, and I don't have time or capacity to figure out every issue on every modem or router or firewall brand, make and model out there. All I can say is make sure your anti-virus or firewall does not block anything PR related. The way it's done depends on the hardware and software, and, like I said, I cannot help you with that.
