The gear will be based on the 2013-2016 weaponry of the Brazilian Armed Forces, including the limited use of its new assault rifle, the IA2, for specific classes, as well as the two main FAL variants in service: the M964 FAL and the M964A1 Parafal. Other unique firearms of the faction include the MT-12 submachine gun for crewmen and the AGLC sniper rifle. Additionally, Brazilian versions of in-game gear will be featured, such as the ALAC (Brazilian AT4) and the PT-92 (Brazilian 92F).
For the maps, Brazil will engage in battles along its northern border.
Operation Cabralzinho, set around the border town of Oiapoque and named after Brazil’s real plans to invade French Guiana in the 1960s, will depict a confrontation between the Brazilian Armed Forces and the modern French Army along the country’s largest border.
Operation Surumu II takes inspiration from the original Operation Surumu, a 1990s Brazilian Army exercise demonstrating military readiness amidst fears of a U.S. invasion of the Amazon. In Surumu II, the Brazilian Army will face off against U.S. forces in the humid and warm state of Roraima.

F.A.Q
1 - Why Brazil?
Brazil has the second-largest army in the Americas and establishes itself as a regional power with a rich 200-year history.
For a long time, the large Brazilian Project Reality community has wished for this faction, and we have decided to make it a reality. By exploring interesting fictional scenarios and real historical events, we aim to bring the faction and its unique charm to life.
2 - Why choose Brazilian equipment?
The main reasons were the time period and the available information. The Brazil depicted in the mod is set between 2014 and 2016, which explains the use of older Guarani models, the lack of widespread adoption of optical sights, and the IA2 not yet being fully in service, limited to only a few kits. Additionally, Brazil does not have a standard semi-automatic designated marksman rifle in service, so we chose the safer option of using the FAL with an optic, which has already been seen in use.
3 - Why choose these maps?
Map selection was one of the most discussed topics. We considered scenarios in Haiti, Lebanon, Venezuela, Colombia, and more. However, the main obstacle was the need for additional resources. In the cases of Haiti, Venezuela, and Colombia, we would have had to create new factions to fit the theme, adding even more work. No faction, not even an irregular guerrilla force, can be made hastily, as the PR developers insist on a certain level of quality for each faction, ensuring that they have their own niche and purpose in the game.
The current maps, "Operation Cabralzinho" and "Operation Surumu II", are based on real operations and plans, albeit fictionalized within the game, and take place on Brazilian territory, making the project feel more authentic.
"Operation Surumu II" is inspired by the Surumu military exercises of the 1990s, depicting a U.S. invasion of the Roraima region.
"Operation Cabralzinho" is based on the 1961 Cabralzinho plan, which aimed at the invasion and annexation of French Guiana.
In our view, these maps not only showcase part of Brazil's military history but also reinforce the country’s stance on sovereignty over the Amazon.
4 - Are there future plans?
We are always discussing new possibilities, and while our current focus is well defined, we have already considered additional maps, period-accurate equipment, and even historical scenarios, such as a version of Operation Surumu from the 1990s.
We are also interested in expanding the factions that could interact with Brazil, such as a Venezuelan faction or South American rebels like the FARC. The Haiti scenario is another interesting option that has been mentioned.
The topic may undergo changes/updates.
