Hi I just played PR after a long time, it happened two times in a row that soldier textures appear all black most of the time. As I saw that I closed the game and loaded it again, this time is launched just fine, but mid game I alt-tabbed and when I got back in the game all the texture were black again.
All this started after I wanted to mute myself on discord, so I tabbed out, then I tabbed back in the game started playing at about 1 fps, and I could do nothing about it other than Alt+F4.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I have just reinstalled Battlefield 2 to revive some old memories and play with friends, the strange thing is that this only happens to me.
Is there a way to play it in borderless window mode? so that the textures do not bug again.
Thanks in advance
Texture and FPS Bug when alt-tab (probably)

PR and original BF2 can co-exist on the same computer but they must be installed in separate directories. Game engine running PR, and all BF2 based mods for that matter, does not support borderless windowed mode, nor does it support ultra-wide resolutions. Even in windowed mode, the whole window must be small enough to fit entirely within your display area. Window that is too big will cause issues similar to what you described.Kevokpo wrote: 2025-03-24 00:20 Hi I just played PR after a long time, it happened two times in a row that soldier textures appear all black most of the time. In case of other unexpected graphic artifacts, first clear shader cache from launcher -> Support -> Utilities. Then update your display drivers. Driver update is important with Intel GPUs because they don't have native DirectX9 support anymore (since 12th Gen integrated) and their software-based compatibility layer is still buggy. Sometimes the only solution for Intel GPU issues is to use dxvk.
