I don't mind if MEC weapons are Map based rather than a global setting it adds some faction diversity. SO on syrian maps they can get AKs but on other maps they can have G3s or FN FAL to atleast make them different.

AK-74 are found in limited service in Syrian Arab Army. AKM is main service rifle of SAA, with East German version of AKM MPi-KM and Yugoslav version of AK-47 M70 as close second.

I saw someone made an HK-33 before that could be a good fit, but I think a lot of the uniqueness of MEC is how they only have G3s and they somewhat make up for it with how they have the MG-3 and MP5 to supplement.

I think we're all better waiting for the actual SAA faction than to try to make the MEC into the SAA

and even BLUFOR factions (though only 1)
Poland has AKs (though not 5.45 or 7.62, but 5.56 like AK-101)

again, i think we already got enough AK based factions, unless the Czech (VZ.58 ), Finnish (RK.62 valmet), and Ukrainian forces (maybe have the WAC-47 or AK-74 or whichever rifle they use, along with the RPC Fort rifles, which are Ukrainian copies of the Tavor rifle, to break the AK monotony) come out, which is not likely

I am down for KH2002 or HK33, MEC would still be unique this way. Also, someone mentioned MECMC and MECRG, I am also down for it!

MECMC could use HK33 and MECRG could use KH2002. MECAr may keep the G3.

if there is a US Army and a USMC, we may see MEC branches too, again i'd like to keep my G3 cuz i love G3s alot, so that's why i find different branches a better idea, and i'd like to see the HK-33 and KH2002 (and maybe including a CAR-15 or Commando as well, so Hamas isn't the only one)

The MEC has so many possibilities because they are the generic representation individually based on the maps location like Syrian Army, Iraqi Saddam era Army, Iraq post NATO forces, Iran, Saudi Arabia.

We could re-texture them for Afghan National Army place holder, like they are for the Syrian Army in development. Is there animated genetic difference between MEC and Taliban? Hard to notice any difference.

Keep G3 for some maps or some layers. One for realism, one for gameplay. G3 or AK could be added to the vote.

Put in perspective what this would do, as we have seen in Iron sight faction vs scoped faction engagements. Think about this on Khami, Kashan or other open desert maps. Requires iron sight sniper mentality, any little suspect dot needs to get tapped out. Its best for iron sight vs scopes is ballistic balanced to do 7.63x39 vs 5.56.

5.56 is inaccurate a bit at 500 meters, which I think every NATO BLUFOR uses 5.56. The trident sights of an AKM are like a scope to me, I put the dot sized target in it and if its moving lead it with the sight post. At longer distances the target lead might need to go outside the trident sights.

Everyone needs to be peeking, evenly spread, in view of each other and not sitting still for scopes to counter scopes. Make the enemy see only one man in a scope view, be that far spread out they have to look wide and look away so you can switch positions. Manipulate them by one guy drawing fire more to get enemy sitting still showing their location with tracers, draw fire as bait.

Don't let the feeling of iron sight discourage you, compensate through your mind. Iron sights came before scopes, it just makes the dot sized target bigger. Iron sights are good for area target suppression. Throw in the accurate fire naturally when target presents itself, but bullet storm for when targets are out of view behind something. Control the enemy.

The mec(sicans) wouldnt need an alternative loadout if battle rifles werent so damn pointless. Everything a g3 battle rifle does the ak47 does better.

You can wait until Iran's done. Does seem like it's gonna be all default MEC kits going on there (especially the main rifles in general a.k.a G3's), only slight change on some specialized kits.

This thread probably can change in the future, as "MEC reworked/rebalance" or something along the lines of that.

Realisticly, they should have not only getting G3's as standard rifles anymore, there's should be variety (not only just G3's, maybe AUG and more AK variants or new HK rifle).

Look around Middle East countries (GCC) and find out what do they use, might interest you.
