HMG Tips: The few times I've had the opportunity to use them, I've always been accompanied by an observer with a GTLD, preferably the observer being the squad leader himself, to mark and tell the gunner where to fire.So maybe they can compensate for the lack of optical sights on HMGs, and as Grump says, the objective of HMGs at long ranges is to suppress and damage the occasional light vehicle.Grump/Gump.45 wrote: 2025-04-01 04:48
But players want to play the same linear way everytime, you don't have to take the flags to win, just eat the enemy with 6 super FOBs. Problem is these players see an HMG that is 1000+ meters away from ernemy and think its useless iron sights for accurate targets, its primarily for area target sweeps, making a psychological bullet storm.
What happened to all the fun people who use to play this game?

Re: What happened to all the fun people who use to play this game?
I use the HMG like a long range claymore.. Area denial. Bullet storm they see and don't want to come into, so they hide, lay down. HMG can reach 1500+ meters through view distance. Bullet effectiveness goes from a scale of 0-10, Fear(1) to Kill (10). Either you put fear in enemy or you hit and kill them
If you hit near enemy or make bullet fly past enemy, that is bullet effectiveness 1/10, goes up the closer you get to hitting them, then what they do like run away or lay down stuck under it, dodge, scared, high heart rate, make panic and mistakes, other factors go into rating effectiveness.
HMGs are anti-infantry anything, any light vehicle.

1 Man per piece of cover, Move cover to cover. In view of each other to save each other by shooting, distraction, division of enemy attention and ammo. 1 man hit per RPG/tank shell/mortar spread formation full time. Edge of cap zone. Use camouflage, police up each others exposure, no man seen sticking out. Scan aggressively with eyes and ears for anything suspect, even for birds disturbed to fly out of trees

Re: What happened to all the fun people who use to play this game?
Here is your problem right here... Too much playing Project Reality like its some low graphic FPS, like playing without the super FOB assets just rushing forward to the next objective just because its there.
Even when somebody is saying something smart or more fun to do, just because they can win easily while having a stacked team.
But squad leaders rudely ignore that. Its lack of social skills and repitition symptom of autism playing the same way everytime, they struggle with changes in routine. When I play the flexible way Project Reality is meant to be played.
That is the time to build super FOBs to kill the enemy, demoralize them.
Show them their bigger issues rather than just lack of mental preparedness or Call Of Duty skills in CQC.
Instead of just capturing a weak teams flag. Its like my 8 years of experience, beats the things that some people do after 20 years of play... I learn faster.
I don't do the same thing everytime. Some "long time" players never climbed a tree, never played dead for kills, never build super FOBs to their maximum allowed radius, never evolve their standard squad orders.
You do not realize the effectiveness of how fast "1 man per piece of cover" and all its potential lines based out of "1 man per" thing benefits. 1 man hurt per RPG, tank shell, mortar spread. 1 man hurt per foxhole. 1 man dig each asset. 300-400 meter wide FOB, then another just in view.
Playing the same way without the cool stuff every time.
Rather than giving overwhelming Michael Bay movie defense with lots of gunfire and explosions.
Playing with stupid people who don't spread out, who follow way too close to each others bodies, thinking that is how you tactically follow people rather than just keeping them in view at the safe distance enough to save them, turn and start firing at enemy right away. It gets old, dying bunched up.
Something cool, something satisfying like Michael Bay. Problem is people don't have basic intelligence to see with self awareness how they bore themselves to death with lack of change, expansion or growth in their own way of playing. Always moving foward no matter the situation, mental blindness, playing Burning Sands the same way everytime they squad lead.
Autism and repitition, then the inept inability for them to be self aware about it, even when I offer more fun ways to win that are cool looking and psychologically satisfying, also less taxing on the team.
Then the emotional intelligence, empathy to understand they play the same way everytime...
You could win by having a 6 Super FOB defense over a single desert flag. Getting shot at in the open is not a bad thing, if "it doesn't work" that is more of a lack of armor support problem, because I will not blame somebody for 1 TOW versus multiple armor pieces at once. That is on the asset players who think they are genius to not help the team, to not use their friendlies as bait.. I build super FOB and ask for support before armor even spawns in,
Then actually not being a lazy squad leader running a line of assets, then the efficiency of how to dig order 1 man per thing, rather than looking stupid having 6 guys run to a foxhole, a TOW, AA, HMG because they are so lazy everything they dig has to get dug within 15 seconds or less at the risk of explosion killing everyone, take the full 60 seconds to dig one thing for a man then everything is done within 60 second..
Moving around with just a rifle in this game on the attack, not fun 100% of the time doing the same thing when there are a lot of different fun things to do. Sometimes you get up trees, sometimes you make super FOBs giant.

Re: What happened to all the fun people who use to play this game?
It devolves into lone wolfing because everyone wants to rush to kill with their kit rather than build 2 super FOBs on defensive side of objective. 3 TOW/ 3 AA/HMG/ 30 foxholes + Tanks + APC + Jeep +logi repairs.
Anything in view of a tank is not getting shot first, so it goes to the flag. Super FOBs keeps everyone organized with multiple ways to take down enemy. Rather than be a last man surviving after a squad wipe just having kits.
You can play both ways in the round, usual way and the Super FOB combined arms way, but you need to have the super FOB and use it first to your benefit, break enemy up, everyone defends then enemy defenders get bored leaving their flag while you use over kill.
Worst was the day KKCK Manzeu had his tanks on Donbas go west side of map to the enemy main for some reason, while enemy tank went east side of map to our super FOB.
Then blamed me for not marking the tank, blamed me for not calling them to my super FOB with TOW the tank wiped out because they were not there.
I did not notice they even went around the map till I am looking at map when enemy tank is here seeing where our tanks were outside the enemy main.
Stupid ideas from stupid players who then go out of their way to troll, gas light, TK and call smart players dumb.

Grump at this point why not start your own militia? Your autistic obsession with infantry tactics can not be fully satisfied in a virtual environment. I mean it. You would be a great instructor.

This thing that Grump mentioned is something I would like to talk about, that the assets go to the other fucking end of the map to fight with the other enemy assets and lose them all, instead of supporting the infantry, or that the CAS go to kill each other, instead of being in the rearguard, and more if the CAS is an attack helicopter, it does not have to go hunt down the enemy CAS, my god, what a horrible way to play, those WT players ruin the games, not to mention the APCs (APC is not the same as an IFV, don't give me bullshit that the BMP-2 is an APC) that have a tank complex, my god, your weak armor and your .50 machine gun does not scare a superfob, instead of fooling around, help the infantry giving them transport, cover and fire supportGrump/Gump.45 wrote: 2025-04-13 17:05

The day they understand these two points, the games will be more bearable.
Infantry should be supported by APCs and IFVs, and if possible, by tanks (unless they have the T-62, which is better off staying in the rear, covering them). Allied CAS should defend their rear, especially if they are ground attack aircraft, fighter-bombers, or attack helicopters. They have no reason to seek out enemy CAS. If possible, let them stay on the airfield.

Re: What happened to all the fun people who use to play this game?
Tanks support infantry and infantry supports tanks. All starts defensively or stays defensively, once people realize the overkill capability of mutually supporting 6 super FOBs putting all our chips into defense.
Its not just shooting when you see the enemy, you preventative fire and probing recon by fire while scanning aggressively for accurate target to shoot at. Assets of armor and FOB emplacements do most of the work.
Everything down to mortar spread foxholes as spacers for the FOB assets is beneficial. You have everyone right there, main closer to you playing defensively for unlimited ammo, you can have the logi repair stations right there.
If I can build and demonstrate favorable conditions that lead to overkill, it should be mirrored and expaned upon. At least play reserved for starters, CAS should not hunt on enemy side of the map ignoring possible AA risks.
If there is a super FOB or anti-air vehicle it should be used to stress the enemy CAS and support the friendly CAS. Panic causes bad communication and decision making. Aircraft alarm sounds is how to do that for CAS.
For infantry and other ground assets, its projectiles. Enemy is some direction on the ground somewhere, fire far to snap rounds past them. Make enemy armor afraid by sending ATGM or tank shell to its map marker or sound in its direction through the view distance.
Many tactics for overkill, distraction, dividing enemy fire and attention. 1 man per foxhole, 1 man per FOB asset, 1 ammo runner per ATGM.
Flat terrain on objectives for desert maps perfect for 6 super FOBs. 3 ATGM/TOW + 3 AA + 6+HMG + 30+ foxholes making a wide line spacing these FOB assets. Then armor assets expand the positions by moving from edge to edge and responding to attacks.
They can only area attack or mortar 1 FOB, you immediatly dig up damage to waste the intention of the munition. Any map for you can do this with, multiple super FOBs. Don't leave people outnumbered,

https://cas-ual-ty.github.io/PR-Stats/index.html
Here is the link @dcm22 for stats, you need to enter the exact player name. It has been started and managed by Casualty, represents well how do players perform in the game.
So if somebody was not sure, why the gaming experience is getting worse and worse here, now there is data behind, and everyone can see who is trying to ruin every single games in PR.
1 thing is being new or bad at something, if you are new its understandable, if u r bad because you dont have time to play it like 10 hours a day, every day also understandable, but you can see some players like as I said FUUR, Hardmann and so on, they have a huge data behind, and they just ruin every single games in PR.
What suprised me, after I have made a quick video about them, and I left it here as a comment what is the biggest problem right now in PR, and there is footage behind it, the data and everything, guess what happened?
People just dont care about it, so they complain about the problem a lot, why the game is getting worse and worse, you see good players are leving and they have left the game, and when somebody points to the problem, they just make fun about it. So it was clear for me, now you cannot really see anymore grown serious men here, just a bunch of kids, and you cannot take them seriously. They are stucked at a childish level.
But I also saw @Casualty made a joke about it as well.
So when even people from developer team starts to support and help griefers, trolls or even hackers cheaters in game, because these are the same category, they only do exist to destroy games, well thats when a game is seriously dead and over.
My recommendation here is, just leave the game, its too deeply rotten.
Thats 1 thing when some randoms players try to destroy such a game, but when server owners dont care, and then developers as well, and they pick a side so support griefers here, yeah you can see my point.
At this point, even HOG was better, because at least the game was playable so there was something to fight for.

I left and came back. Nothing offers the same experience as PR. Some games come close, but no cigar. It's sad how decrepit PR has become. It's not nobody's fault. PR is just too old and outdated to maintain a large enough and active player base. PR is the same as I remember it. In all the good ways and bad ways too. If PR wants to be popular again, it has to evolve.szdavid88 wrote: 2025-04-14 04:38 My recommendation here is, just leave the game, its too deeply rotten.

Forked suppression probing recon by fire deep trajectory from rifles over berms.\III/ x 10,000. Scan aggressively and all the epic suppression skills to deny area to enemy psychologically. These people troll team mates and not the enemy. That changes right now.
You need to make a Michael Bay movie tactics. Use everything in view of each other defending the flag, all 50. Like on Kashan or Burning sands, even the last Chinese or Russian flags on Black Gold.
ALL FLAT TERRAIN, all squads don't even go to meat grinder flags, that makes this game get old quick. Just another FPS. We can build stuff here, big super FOBs with 3 Thermal ATGM in view of each other capable to defend each other.
Just go straight to your last flag, 3 FOBS, 3 TOW/ATGM down 1st then all the assets as wide as super FOB allows, 200 meters left and right from Super FOB in a line.
You have like 4 logis, its very fast, time yourself under 1 man digs each thing order.
Enemy will wonder where you are then run into 6 Super FOBs with lines 300 meters long over open terrain, an untouchable fortress. Its funny, effective defense if you fight and don't joke around out of boredom.
Scan until they show up, if they take their time out of fear then take pride in that.
Here is an equation for that \III/ x 100,000 x 50/6 = Invincible Psychological suppression
You must teach the skills, please create a 2nd squad and be my 2nd Super FOB, I can run 2 super FOBS. 1 man for each of the 4 assets.
It will evolve but people need to realize and utilize what is already there to their satisfaction. Just had a great round the other day sitting up trees for 20 minutes taking enemy out with my squad.
3 guys up their own tree in their own spot incase of grenades watching defense objective, even when somebody else gets the kill I feel satisfied knowing the enemy is confused looking for targets on the ground.
Then playing dead with full coverage for the head, sneaky pick up kit, throw grenade, rifle ready or get knife out to go to work as enemy passes by.
Then how to use WW2 tanks on maps like Carentan like for USA coming out of main to 1st German flag, dump that ammo into objective WITHOUT seeing anything. COAX in between shell shots of HE, like when you see you have 4000 COAX rounds and 40 HE round with main base right there.
Its logi repairs dedicated medic and supply runner. LAT/HAT dump munitions in.
That is why as a German you would climb trees or play dead. Teach the skills.
Suppression, pre-fire, probing recon by fire to make enemy think they are seen, firing into bushes, camouflage you can't see through, fire deep trajectory at the height of a man in the gaps, graziong fire.

They don't realize the potential growth for themselves as a team. How powerful 6 Super FOBs is with everyone defending over open terrain with all the armor assets in view defending the 300 meter wide super FOBS and the super FOBs defending armor.
Both defend the object, its very loud in suppression, but the problem is people only shoot when they see something, rather than scan the 360 degrees around or less enemy could approach with probing fire.
Then you snap suppression of attempted accurate fire and forked suppression when enemy peeks, fires, makes noise, shows themselves or disturbs birds in the jungle.
3 ATGM/TOW thermals + 3 AA + 6 or more HMG (12 players) + 30 foxhole emplacements. Plus Tanks + APCs + Logi repairs + jeeps + transport trucks.
Put a transport truck sideways for the tank to move behind if it needs to, all vehicles in view of each other but spread wide over the super FOB for quick transport around the line.
Over 1000 kilometers of defense in mutual support, 300-400 meter wide FOBS, 200 meters left and right from FOB center for 400 meters.
3 FOBS in a line like that can be 900 meters to 1200 meters long, then extend with 2 FOBs on flanks for more HMG.
This is a killing machine, it eats the enemy.

I get my itch satisfied every now and again, my psychological warfare wanking my nervous system with dopamine.dcm22 wrote: 2025-04-13 23:31 Grump at this point why not start your own militia? Your autistic obsession with infantry tactics can not be fully satisfied in a virtual environment. I mean it. You would be a great instructor.
Its very simple words.. 1 man digs each thing, 1 man per every infantry thing in the game, 30 foxholes, peek a boo moving away from aim within while crouched. They can't shoot every foxhole at once. Same to all assets. Anything in view of a tank is not getting targeted first and if it does it just draws fire.
Do they put area attack on 1 out of 6 super FOBs doing nothing to us? Is 400 meters wide each for 6 super FOBs enough to make enemy mortars weakly worthless as you dig up the damage?
Yes. Everyone talks **** about what I do as if they don't die themselves, I hold out. They take the fight away from me by capping the next flag without considering the terrain ticket meat grinder when we have the strongest advantage. You should walk into enemy, enemy should walk into us. Defense first, manuerver later.
6 FOBs, last flags defense flags so you have time as a team to use the usual available 1-4 logis to drop 2-4 super FOBs very fast. Logi constantly moving with a driver dropping supplies and RTB for supplies. 2nd supply run drops crates at the ATGM/TOW + AA and then the 6 HMG.
10 crates maintained for the mortar because that is 300 rounds, we are limited to no more than 30 crates, then the first ones you place disappear.
If all our vehicles defend this 1000 meter wide open terrain Super FOB complex you will need the transport trucks and jeeps to get from one end to the other.
Just 1 man per FOB. Like these people joke around and mess around in main doing nothing, how about chill 1 man per super FOB asset, 1 man per Foxhole and enjoy the FOB and vehicle assets doing most of the work.

I forgot to share the video link, where I explain why and how griefers have ruined the game, and how they r still online nowadays, and make the game impossible to play. These players literally help the enemy team to win in every game, and you cant do nothing against them. As I said, admins dont care about them, even some dev-s have started to support them like Casualty, so yeah, the game is pretty much dead when you are trying to win games here, and make good teamwork, and then some trolls comes, like Hardmann, FUUR, Black_master and others, and they just ruin the game for every1, every day. You just can win a single game when you see them on your team, it is legit griefing what they do.

If its because they are losing, they are demoralized. Build them a double wide double Super FOB, 300-400 meters wide each on your last flag. Call the team to defend 6 Super FOBS around last flag if its open terrain suitable. Some maps make it hard. Somebody is going to win, somebody is going to lose and that doesn't always mean you get pushed off your last flag.szdavid88 wrote: 2025-04-16 04:27 You just can win a single game when you see them on your team, it is legit griefing what they do.

If you get pushed off you didn't have a super FOB preparation or you were outnumbered because of theam dividing between useless, weak, unskilled attacks going into view of enemy call outs. Everyone on defense, somebody is going to win and lose, lets decide where the fight happens. Last flag closest to main provides fastest supplies, asset RTB resupplies and everything else.
DOD edge FOB so half one side of FOB is restricted from approaches
