ya i was interested in helping in anyway, but i got turned down. then i went on vaction for a week came back and forgot all about it, then i saw it somewhere this morning.
hey i got two questions.
1. what happened to snipah? wasn't he the founder?
2.Um this is sorta a new engine so how will we know all this stuff will work?
2. Yes, the BF2 is a new engine, but it's based off of the other two engines, the BF1942 and BFV games. We don't know how it works in great detail yet, but we can base what we want to do on features which are in the game already, since they're present and have values associated with them.
ok awsume, ya i figured the moddels and such wouldn't work, but hey i could be wrong, but ya it's great that you guys are assembling a team and getting ready before the game is released your ready to go full ahead once it's released
the models will work fine, we just have to code them in a totally different way and import them into BF2, models are models, they arent generally game specific
A model, as in what I make, is produced in one of like 5 programs. the file that program produces along with it's associated texture files and generally a information file. These components are run through a compiler which turns them into something useful for the game. In truth with a little work I could easily get any model from any game into anyother game.
