Earlier today on Kashan desert, I was in a squad with MrD. We were the only 2 members and your team(MEC) had been in control of the North Village for some time, However The US still had a few tanks up on the ridge so when we died we decided to take a tank and try and flank them then guard the ridge.
As we entered the valley that North village lies in we were hit by a tank round and some explosive APC fire. Another tank in out ream managed to neutralise the other tank however Our tank was beeping. I jumped out and was struck with the APC rounds, I was bleeding. I used my bandage but it wasn't quite good enough. I started repairing the tank as MrD engaged the tanks on the hill. When the tank was repaired we started heading for the ridge in the hopes to cover it from future attack. When we arrived there He heard my coughing and gave me his bandage just as my vision went blurry. He ordered in a supply drop in the hopes it could help. We parked the tanks behind an outcrop of rocks giving cover from the US main but allowing full view of the ridge. Shortly after I died.
I respawned however I couldn't request a crewman kit, not even from the supply crate that had landed when I respawned. All I could do was scout for targets that were approaching the ridge from the US's side. Soon more squad members joined, I went to the crate to pick up a light AT kit, however when I was 20m away it exploded on its own. MrD managed to take out a few tanks, hummers and troops. However just as someone turned up in the MEC engineer jeep 2 Tanks appeared and he tried to retreat, I was hiding a few meters away but due to the curve of the land was out of sight. The jeep started driving while under fire from the tanks MG's, he drove next to me and picked me up before driving like crazy to the outpost/tower north of the north village.
The whole way there we were under constant fire from the tanks Mg's and main cannons. both of them. A few shots landed close enough to injure us in the car but not 1 shot hit the jeep. I was laughing the whole way there as 1 after the another shells were impacting 5m from us. He pulled in round the west side out of sight where we used the ammo supply to heal ourselves on bandages. I climbed into the tower to spot the tanks for our team, however I couldn't see them. I was climbing down when I noticed the driver disappear on the minimap, I think a sniper got him. His kit was gone before I could get to him leaving me stuck in the middle of nowhere with a car that I couldn't drive.
I wish I had ran fraps or something because the escape was like something you see in the movies where everything but the target is hit. Tank shells hitting all round the car, a few MG shots hitting the jeep, the whole time i was waiting for the view to suddenly change to a wreck with the words "You were killed" printed. Either we were lucky or he was great at dogeing them shots.
Has anybody else had any lucky escapes in PR?
Luckiest escape

I remember playing .5 on Basra. I was driving a full technical, and was heading to industry to check it out (I suspected there were enemies there). It all went smoothly all the way up to the gate, so I drove inside, into that stretch of road in front of the burning building, and was about to make my way through the concrete barriers when a tank drove up from the other side. He was looking right at me, the barrel of his main gun pointed at my puny little pickup truck. I reversed, managed to align myself with the gate, drove through it, turned right, and floored it. Surprisingly enough, the tank didn't fire at me. It didn't even stop. Instead, it just kept making its way through the concrete barriers, paying no attention to me. I guess he was soloing, and didn't have a gunner who could open up with the coax while the tank was still on the move.. Or maybe he had a retard gunner who didn't fire at me. Either way, the tank nearly gave me a heart attack, as I didn't expect to find it there.

Well, I was on the other side of a story like that, me and TB Horror were leading a tank squad in the MEC side. Most of the US Armor was now a smoking wreck, so we had to settle for shooting Humvee's coming towards Outpost. One saw us and tried to floor it behind a hill, both Horror and I opened fire, explosions were everywhere (the tank was shaking and vibrating even though it wasn't moving, so trying to lead a humvee in double zoom was a *****), one of my shells landed in front of the Humvee and it drove through the smoke (just like a movie). All the while we were shooting our MGs at it, I shot one more round which landed right next to the Humvee, but the wily ******* escapes us. I hear Horror over the radio "He went behind the sand bank, I can't see him" and then without sound I saw bits and pieces of the Humvee flying into the air followed by smoke. I thought that was just the coolest thing ever.
