7gates .., Ooops!

Post by M4nicMin3r »

Just thought id share an embarrassing moment i had on 7gates the other night.

We had an excellent squad on the go as brits .. good comms, off we went.

Somehow we all managed to get across the riverbed at the far most southern point. As we got to the other side i killed a lone enemy and was quite chuffed to find out he was a sql and i picked up his kit. Feeling a bit pumped up and getting the "rolling with my squad mates" feeling we carried on. On the way to the Temple we staved off quite a few enemy attacks but tried to carry on stealthily upto the eastern side to the temple.

Things were working really well we managed to creep upto the walls to enter at the southern entrance....., thing is where i had a blonde moment. There are 2 tower/outpost buildings at the southern entrance to temple.., both of which were occupied with enemy kept busy looking for enemy comeing from the south. They had no idea we were there behind them....., until i dropped prone and i had a mouse fart and blew off my weapon. With it been a CH weapon i thought it would pass unnoticed but alas it did not. I heard a scream over voip "CEASE FIRE" "who the fk is firing" .., someone said.., "its a CH weapon not us ".., "yes its us frazzbob has one" .., no-escaping that one eh.
:o ops:

At this point one lot of enemies turn and saw us all, i think all but one ( including sql ) got cut down as the other tower joined in as i listened to wails of dissatisfaction over voip.

We spawned back at the rally point and was promptly told ( by name lol )
"frazzb0b cease fire until told!" ., then we moved on, luckily we made someone else sqldr who made it through into the temple we managed to cap and hold the temple. Not before lotsa cracks were made at my expense ;) i left at the end of the round feeling a bit sheepish and silly lol.

I sometimes think my gameplay in PR is a comedy or errors and i must be the most st00pid virtual soldier on the battlefield. Had to admit was kinda funny tho on reflection.

i must be the most st00pid virtual soldier on the battlefield.

If you can recognize that you made an error you have already lifted yourself from that status and you did have a reason, albeit not a good one, for firing on the enemy.

Think i was with you then :-D . I was sheltered by the cliff from the first volley from them. Got one of them going after the other survivor then i got shot in the back.

Still, look on the bright side, other than that moment of madness you were a great team player :D

Least it gave someone a laff .., i'm usually an "All for teamwork" kinda player..., just a shame that im also a rebel without a clue eh LMAO.

Then im sure everyone has these moments too. This is the biggest reason i dont join a clan, as im usually 99.9% locked on to the task at hand ..., but i do have MANY moments that are devoid of all sanity, but then, tis only a game ;)

Yeah, if it is a scroll wheel, be EXTRA careful. Many times Ive gotten into a confrontation with the enemy and accidently scrolled down while clicking, in which case I pull out a grenade or something unintended instead of shooting my rifle lol

Something like this happened to me today... In a crowded bunker... with my weapon on full auto (and I keep it on single 99% of the time)...

Fortunately, only one guy got killed and I was a medic, so I patched him back up. The thing is, I kinda fired without thinking. I wanted to switch to the medic bag and then click, but I got ahead of myself and fired my weapon...

I spawn on my SL, who's a sniper...see an enemy...shoot. Five seconds later, an AA emplacement blows me, the SL, and two other people to bits. That was a bit...embarassing.

Meh, just the on Mestia the Brits has finally got in to West Bunker, which we had defended for a long period and someone teamkills the entire iGi squad with a slam. :D

I'm still bitter we didn't win that round, I'm sure you never actually got both towers at the same time...

The most embarrassing thing is when you have grenades equipped and you accidentally right click right in the middle of your squad.

LEG IT!!!

I did that...
Well, first I took out a hand grenade instead of field dressing, then I right-clicked. Said "shit grenade" on VoIP, two guys immediately left the position, but the 3rd one was a bit too slow (and wounded, thats why I wanted to give him a FD) and I got us both killed...
Basically I was nervous and couldnt even focus right :\
